Back in January 2024, their technicians did an outstanding job cleaning my wood-burning stove and chimney. They were thorough, professional, and left everything spotless – I was thrilled with the work. Fast-forward to a week ago when I eagerly tried to light my first fire of the season on a crisp, chilly day. To my horror, the base of the chimney pipe was blocked with a thin layer of creosote that somehow got missed. Impatient (and a little too confident), I decided to tackle it myself. I managed to disconnect the stove pipe and clear the blockage, but when it came time to reconnect everything… disaster. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the pipe properly aligned and sealed again without a second pair of hands. I called Chimney MD in a bit of a panic on a Monday afternoon. Mike answered, listened patiently to my self-inflicted predicament, and even though he was short-staffed that day, he made it happen. Within a couple of hours, two of his technicians arrived – polite, friendly, and incredibly skilled. They had the pipe realigned, sealed, and working perfectly in about 45 minutes. And then the best part: when I asked about the bill, Mike said there was no charge at all! They just wanted to make sure I was safe and warm. Mike and his crew were great to work with, and I really appreciated Michael’s responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to help when my fireplace issues came up. His crew is friendly, experienced, and they care about their customers. The work done seems as though it was done well and they provided after photos and explained what they did thoroughly which I greatly appreciated.
