I used Chicagoland Appliance Repair years ago to fix my broken oven, and was extremely happy with the prompt, professional service. I'm now trying to get a dryer repaired and have been shocked at how far downhill this company seems to have gone. After two visits, the tech replaced my dryer's drain pump. Upon testing, it immediately displayed the same error code it's had, but he left anyway, telling me that new parts needed time to "calibrate" and to call if it didn't improve. Additionally, he broke the access panel door on the front of my dryer and immediately lied to me, telling me it was already broken. It certainly wasn't. When I pushed back, he gave me several other excuses, telling me the dryer is old (it's not) and that when you open and close the panel that much, it's expected to break (what is a door for if not opening and closing?). I called the main service line to discuss these concerns and the man who answered was incredibly rude and insistent that the tech wouldn't lie to me. I understand standing by your employees, but he lied straight to my face. I asked if any other tech could take over the repair and he said no and hung up on me.

This was my second time having Chicago Appliance Repair out to do a repair. They showed up the same day as my call on both occasions, quickly diagnosed and fixed the issues, and on the most recent experience, brought the anticipated parts along, based on my description of the problem. I highly recommend them.

I've had these guys out twice -- once for a refrigerator icemaker and once for my oven (shout out to Jesse for a job well done). The prices are fair, they are very responsive and most importantly, I have not needed to have further repairs done after they come out -- they fix it right the first time.
