I needed a special gift for my girlfriend. I’ve never purchased nice jewelry before, and a friend recommended I go to Charles Schwartz for good advice and a nice selection. I was a little nervous about being pressure sold, but David was great to work with. He was so friendly, and the atmosphere was really relaxed. I told David what I wanted, and he walked me through a bunch of questions, like what color her other jewelry is, what does the jewelry look like, what’s her normal style, etc. He also asked what my budget was and then recommended a few different pieces. As a man of a certain age, a lifetime of commercial relationships has made me skeptical, if not cynical. It’s rare to come across a business that treats you like you’re already a longtime customer when it’s the first time you’ve walked through the door. That was my experience with Charles Schwartz. I needed service and repair of my precious-to-me watches. I don’t know much about watchmaking, but I do know when someone inspires confidence. I may not be a longtime customer now, but I will become one moving forward. These are people with integrity.
