Casey's Top Hat Chimney Sweeps

From the moment you speak with Helena to make an appointment to have your chimneys inspected and cleaned you will know you are in good hands. She is charming and very knowledgeable about chimneys. It gets even better! We have seven fireplaces and when Mike arrived he told us only five needed his attention. We hadn’t had them cleaned in quite a while. Some needed gaps in the flue and smoke chambers mortared. Everything we needed done was written out with diagrams explaining exactly where the work was needed. I really learned a lot. Mike was so pleasant. He always wore a mask and cleaned up after himself so well it was like it never happened. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Well this is a first time experience needing a chimney sweep, and I only need it because it is a condition of my lease in order to get my deposit back. I called as many Chimney sweep companies that I could find and Casey's Top Hat Chimney Sweep Was the lowest quote so I booked them for 11/28 at 9am. I would like to mention the fact that they do not answer the phones. Ever. You have to leave a message and they'll call you back when it's convenient to them. It took 2 days to hear back from them after my initial voicemail when I requested a quote. This should have been enough reason for me to book a different company, but I was trying to save money. On the day of service I called several times throughout the morning and left messages before my 9am appointment, to no avail. Finally on my 3rd or 4th attempt at 9:40am Someone finally answered the phone, only to tell me that the techs truck broke down, and they need to reschedule. I was not happy about that seeing as I took the day off of work specifically to get the done. It's also the last day I have available to do this as my lease is up in 1 day. Now there are no other chimney sweeps available, and I'm going to lose out on my security deposit. Thanks a lot Casey's Top Hat for costing my a ton of money, and screwing me. My advice is to skip the call to this company, unless you want to communicate through voicemail, and waste your time. What a terrible experience.
