Carpet World

I like the color and the way it didn’t take to long. There’s only one place I see that shouldn’t be noticeable and that is the hallway, you can see the seam where it is and I really don’t like that part but I guess I’ll have to live with it. And Bobby and Aron were very nice and got the job done! Well now at the kitchen it looks like it’s coming up by pieces of carpet and also the strands are coming up through the house, this must’ve been the cheapest carpet y’all have. Not as good as I thought!

We had a GREAT experience using Carpet World from the beginning to the end. Ms. Judy provided EXCELLENT customer service throughout the ENTIRE process. She made the process seamless. She allowed us to take carpet sample boards home along with several pictures that she researched and sent to peruse. No rush! We took about 3 weeks to make a selection. The install was setup for 2 days. On the day of install, their AMAZING team: Mike, Brian and J. B. checked the areas to be installed, and due to their EXTREME professionalism and efficiency, they finished the 2‐day job in about 4 hours! They took no breaks! They only drank water! They placed ALL furniture back in their respective places and cleaned ALL debris up from the driveway to the rooms. This indeed is a one-stop business! I highly recommend Carpet World AND their WONDER TEAM: Mike, Brian and J. B. Additionally, Ms. April and Mr. Melvin contributed to our choosing Carpet World.

I was highly disappointed with the installation of new hard wood floors by Carpet World. The hard wood was installed over a deteriorating subfloor which was never brought to my attention. The bad subfloor should had been obvious to an experienced installer. Apparently, there was no moisture test. From what I understand, a moisture check is standard operating procedure. These issues were not discovered until an inspection for a pending sale of the home. The inspector found many areas of delamination of the subfloor. There was also a floor joist that was cut 80% to apparently compensate for a bow on the floor surface. The floor joist was never reinforced which resulted in a soft spot. Carpet World’s explanation for the soft spot was due to the floating floor, which in hindsight, was false. I realize that there would have been an additional expense to fix the subflooring at the time of installation. It would have been a heck of a lot cheaper to have the subfloor addressed before the hard woods were installed instead of after the fact. Carpet World has failed to address any of these issues or offset a portion of my increased expense. My letter to the owner went unanswered. If you are considering having Carpet World install new flooring in your home, my advice would be to buy a $25 moisture meter and do your own moisture check. I wish I had.
