Two years after our kitchen remodel the quartzite island and counters have lost their sheen. We could feel the divots and the roughness on the surfaces.
We found Brillo through the Nextdoor app. Rafael (owner) conducted a site visit and discussed what was required. He and Nasir spent approximately six hours refurbishing the quartzite. The results were incredible! The sheen is back and the surfaces are completely smooth.
Brillo did not leave a trace that they were here..except for the beautiful job they did!
We have used Brillo Restorations twice now, and we couldn't be happier! They really care about the quality of their work, and take extra time to explain how owners can take better care of the floors after they are polished. We have about 1000 SF of 24" x 24" travertine tiles, and they look amazing again–next time we won't wait so long!
Rafael and his team are so amazing! I first called him after seeing the amazing photos by other clients on yelp. He gave a very reasonable estimate for refinishing the entire first floor of my rental house (I was cleaning up after old tenants moved out). I also got a bid for polishing all the granite kitchen and bathroom counters throughout the house. Since doing all that granite would have cost another few thousand dollars and the granite did not seem obviously in need of cleanup, I elected to just focus on the dirty floor, which TRULY needed resuscitation. We decided on resurfacing the travertine to a matte honed finish instead of a semi-polished or polished finish. Not only would this cost less as it consists of fewer runs with increasingly higher grit pads, more importantly, it will be much easier to maintain because one is less worried about etching (from acid spills) and wear and tear over time, losing a shine that one spent a lot of money to get! Rafael aims to please; he said, “Please let me know if there is anything you are not satisfied with. I will do what it takes to make you a happy customer!” So, even though the caulking and grout color he used were the same color name from the same company, the caulking seemed too dark in comparison. When I pointed this out, he immediately set about re-doing the entire perimeter of my whole first floor baseboard junction with a lighter color caulk so that the border of the rooms would not jump out at me. That is what I call top-notch service! In the end, the floor looked amazing!
Rafael also noticed that the large kitchen island granite was really grimy, greasy, and waxy, from some residue that my previous tenant had left. Because he knew I was trying to save money by not hiring him to do the granite, he graciously offered to polish this large surface area for no extra charge because he wanted my house to be presentable to the new tenant. He obviously got a nice tip for going above and beyond like this!
Finally, while working on the floors, he also noticed that my garage epoxy floors were dusty and dirty, so he gave me a reasonable price for cleaning the garage floors too.
My friend’s housecleaner, who I hired to deep clean the house between tenants, was there while Rafael and his team were working. She was so impressed with the quality of his work that she sent him to my friend’s mansion to give an estimate to restore the stone floors over there!
Besides doing amazing work, Rafael is a genuinely NICE person! We had some nice conversations throughout the 3 days he was working on the house. Knowing that I am an out-of-town landlord, he generously offered to help me with any future emergencies regarding the rental house, since he lives really close to this rental house. I jokingly told him we now want to hire him to restore the floors in our California house. Since he actually still has clients he takes care of in San Diego occasionally, he said he could definitely swing by our SoCal house one of these days! In a world where there are too many unscrupulous contractors, especially in Las Vegas, it is so refreshing to finally meet and deal with a reasonably priced, ethical, detail-oriented artisan who goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service! I am so glad to have met Rafael, who I now consider a friend, and I look forward to hiring him again for all my future floor and granite needs! I have since told all my Vegas friends about Brillo Restoration!
Excellent service! I have ceramic tiles floor and the tiles & grout needed to be cleaned. Rafael, the owner, did an estimate and explained to me the different options I have to restore my floor. I chose to have the grout colored and sealed. Rafael and his men did an excellent job. They did all the things that he said they will do and the price is very fair. I will definitely recommend this company for floor restoration. Thank you Rafael.
My home has been a rental for the past 6 years. I have been an absentee landlord. The last of my tenants moved out a couple of months ago. My entire home had suffered neglect, especially the ceramic tile floors. I made an appointment with Brillo Restoration to clean my floors. Rafael is very personable, yet professional. I was especially impressed that he had a small, narrow brush that he used manually to clean all of the grout in between the individual tiles, before using a powered, circular brush to clean the tile. His is not a rush job. He takes his time. I'm getting ready to sell my home and I am very happy that the ceramic flooring is clean again. I think that Rafael did a wonderful job and recommend him highly. If you need something like this done for your home, don't hesitate to call him. Lastly, his prices are VERY competitive!
