Great service. We needed random parts for our Bobcat excavator to keep things moving. They had them in stock all 3 times we were in need. We felt very taken care of, the staff is great to work with. Highly recommend working with this crew.
I have lived and worked in SE Alaska since 2014. I have rented and purchased large and small equipment from Bobcat of Juneau and Bobcat of Ketchikan. They also provided service on my Bobcat equipment and other manufactures. Their service department was very helpful in troubleshooting issues with other brands of equipment. When I purchased equipment, the sales staff had a very though knowledge of the equipment and helped with my final decisions on which piece to buy. I am very impressed with all of their staff in all of the dealings that I have had with them at both the Juneau and Ketchikan stores. I believe that their rates for service are comparable to other equipment dealers. They always get back to me in a timely manner. Communication is very important since down time on equipment on the job is very costly. I started going to them since I heard their inventory was very large and I could pick up a piece of equipment within days and not waiting weeks or months. I highly recommend these dealerships. I am in process of buying another Bobcat piece of equipment from the Juneau store. My yard is starting to look like a dealership.
Don't take management by its word, it's fake. I was told that if I let them use a piece of my equipment they would trade in value. I was told a machine was available and I could arrange getting it picked up. After I paid to have it moved I saw it was trashed dirty, empty on fuel, and low DEF. As soon as I cleaned it and topped it off I was told they needed it the next day. That was $600 for moves plus fuel and DEF. Next was the hydraulic pump went out and I was told they fixed it. Dumb me for thinking they just did it for free use. No I got a bill for it. When I talked with Mike he talked me into paying some money and then I'd get credit on my account for free rentals or mechanic work. Never happened. I brought a dump truck to them to work on multiple times paid the bill but did not get fixed. I decided to work on myself and asked them to order a FICM module but specifically said I would install. They put it in supposedly and I paid for it but he could not tell me where the old one was. I ordered forks that came wrong after 9 months and took over 9 months more to get, then they came and tried to take my stock forks! I bought a brand new chainsaw from them, brought back twice and they never could get it to run right. (Got a cheap saw for sale) I had a stereo deck installed in my tella-handler but it fell out on my head. When I brought it up I was laughed at. Once I had my screening plant back (the original equipment we were trading on and they had for over a year) this hydraulic pump they charged me for was pinched up against the motor and there was no belt on the pump. (No way it could have been run) I asked if it was all fixed. He said yes. No way could it have. They cutt the main ears off the mounts to the pump and jammed it on. Anyone knows better. But this was over a 3k job! The final straw was I was approached if I needed anything from them so I figured try again and I told them my bobcat tella-handler needed an oil change and quick pressure wash. So I scheduled it. $1500.00 later for the worst pressure wash, they didn't even use bobcat oil! I asked Mike if he thought this was right and told him I'm not happy. He did not care and when asked if I could use the trade money, he said I had none. They even charged me $150.00 to hook a computer up to it to update it. I didn't ask for this nor do I understand why you pay for updates on a newer bobcat through bobcat. He said it's because it's out of warranty. Not by much. I wonder if this is bobcat manufacturing normal standards or if these guys do whatever they want. To wrap up I did take my concerns up with another lead guy, I told him to close my account as I told mike. He said they would discuss it with ownership and get back to me. There has been no word. Tyler rental is spendy but has always pumped out quality and stuck with their word. I wish I had not met these guys and will not go back.
