Before even entering the location I had researched the issue with my Hoover Smartwash Pet Automatic Carpet cleaner throughly. Since I put it off so long I thought I could purchase the piece locally, since I live up the street. The gentleman I spoke with immediately told me the “bottom” (main body) of the machine was broken. I tried to show him my broken piece and asked if I could get a replacement. He told me “NO” it was the bottom broken and the piece I want isn’t broken. I tried to show him that it was broken. He refused to even look at the piece. Then I mentioned I had been researching the issue. He loudly blurted out that he was the vacuum professional and I was some vagrant telling him about his profession. I thanked him for being no help as I walked out. Ordered the piece on HOOVER.com. The exact piece I tried to purchase at this store. Three days later and $14.99 shipping cost the Hoover Smartwash machine is back in action, working good as new. Had the gentleman looked at the piece and listened to me, he would have known I had already inspected all the possible parts and tried all the options given online from HOOVER.com. But he couldn’t be bothered. I do not understand how that business is still open with such rude “vacuum professionals” that can’t be bothered for a $30 replacement piece. I wanted to drag the machine in for an “In Yo Face” dance while the machine was sucking the carpet. But instead I wrote this review.
