I’ve had the occasion to use the services of Blue Ridge Heating & Cooling, on 3 occasions when the heat went out in my house. Each time the staff and service technicians were professional, and their work was excellent. They got my heat up and running, and that was the best part. Blue Ridge always is reliable and they do excellent work. In November 25 we had our annual heating service completed and Nico our service person throughly went over our furnace our on demand hot water heater. He explained what he was doing and brought my attention to the condensation pump. He advised me to keep an eye on it.
Well, good thing, because in December 25 it failed and we had water all over the floor. We gave Blue Ridge a call and they sent a technician out right away. The pump was replaced and everything running perfect again. Thanks Blue Ridge!

Eventually, our landlord special (inherited when we purchased our home) was going to stop working, and sure enough, in the first 90°-100° heatwave this past June, it did.
Our tech, Kevin, evaluated every step possible to troubleshooting before confirming that our compressor was NOT going to kick back on and stay on for more than a few seconds. R22 is as extinct as dinosaurs, so a up to date repair was out of the question.
In comes Jennifer to discuss a quote that was provided based on the existing equipment accompanied by some obviously needed upgrades. Ultimately after extensive detail from what was existing, to an addition at some point on the home, and back to an issue where 2 rooms don’t cool well, we landed at our final price.
Initially, her competition beat her price, but this major company was offering the same financing terms. Additionally, the salesman was beyond rude and cocky when he finally made it on site to quote us; 6 days after the air went out.
Jennifer continued to educate us even after acknowledging we had to shop this out, but she also had an installation date blocked for us only 10 days post loss of AC (comp was 4 weeks). Although standard at the time, we had a 3 week old infant and this classified as an emergency (which Jennifer took to heart, and we appreciated greatly). We signed and proceeded of course.
(The competition had followed up with their quote via an automated email system, it was not personal at all, but I was courteous enough to inform the rep we were moving forward with another company).
Installation crew: Back came Kevin, our initial diagnostic tech and his colleague, Drew. These guys worked 9 hours straight ensuring we were cooling off as promised in a 1-day installation. They had everything they needed, were clean, and respectful to our home.
Overall we are very pleased with the work, product, communication and accommodations from Blue Ridge during this time and hope our personal experience is one more reason you shop local and finalize your HVAC decisions with Blue Ridge Heating & Cooling!
