Zero stars is too many stars for Bakersfield Powersports unless you want to hear lies and excuses. That’s all that place is good for. They had my bike for the better part of 6 months for an “easy fix” that they created by not tightening the oil pump on my bike the first time they worked on it. That easy fix turned into me not being able to ride my bike and taking it to another shop and spending over $8,000 to get fixed. I’ve tried to contact the owner more than a few times with no response.
I’m a repeat customer. I’ve brought mine and my son’s bikes here for a couple years and they’ve always done a fast, amazing job! I always recommend this shop to all my friends. The pricing is perfect and the customer service is spot on.
I’ve never in my life left a review for a company. Don’t care to waste my time to do so, however… Being that Bakersfield Powersports has WASTED tons of my time I figure I’ll do the right thing and make sure no future potential customers waste their time here. I brought my bike to them on October 1st for a half days worth of work. I had the pleasure of finally picking my bike up after about two months of being told they had “done everything just waiting on your painted parts”. However, when I had had enough of being screwed around and wanted my bike back I called on a Wednesday and advised them I’d be picking the bike up on Friday. (The bike that was all done SUPPOSEDLY) However on the Friday that I came to pick up the bike it was very evident that they didn’t start working on my bike until that Friday. How do I know that for a fact you might ask? It’s pretty evident when the mechanic shows me a picture of the oil pan modification he had done and the time stamp shows that day. THEN I’m told your parts will be ready from paint Wednesday before thanksgiving… 3 weeks of no updates whatsoever I get a call they’re ready, I take a half day off of work to come up on Friday, and to no SURPRISE they LOST parts to my fairing. This place is hands down the worst shop I’ve ever encountered and I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. They’re very very UNORGANIZED, NOT COMMUNICATIVE, AMAZING EXCUSES. I also haven’t ridden my bike yet since they’ve worked on it and to be quite honest I’m terrified that something could go wrong with it.
Took my bike here for a valve adjustment. Work got down super quick and the bike came out great and runs awesome. Really cool staff they’ll take care of you and they have way better prices than a lot of the shops in Bakersfield.
The guys here literally saved my life, and my cross country trip. They went out of their way to get me back on the road quickly with top quality work. Helped me with fixing a lose rear sprocket that was about to fall off, hooking me up with a new battery/fuses, and getting the bike ready to roll. Unfortunate I’m not from the area, otherwise this would be my number one shop.
