I am here to make sure no one else gets SCAMMED by this guy named Gordon Mahlert, i am an Auburn Resident so i gave him a call and he came right away, Range repair that he sounded very easy and helpful about it, Took notes and a deposit ($350), never called back with an update, few weeks go by and i start calling and his answer was always "oh let me call the supplier and find out", this went on for 3 months and now he doesn't answer the phone anymore so i decided i'm taking him to court.
I hope this reaches enough people to bring Scammers like this out of Business and even if you end up calling him do NOT for the Love of God give him a Deposit.
Supposed to show up to look at a stove. He had replaced a part and said it was fixed but it's not. Said he'd be by at 930.. no show no call. We're out almost $400 and still have the problem. Do Not do business with this company. Wish I had read the reviews. Tried to use the local guy but bad idea.
I am actually very disappointed with his customer service this time from the get go. He has been to my house twice before to repair my fridge and stove and did good work. So I decided to go ahead and call the same person that we used to repair our fridge again. Called him 6/24/24. But this time from the moment he answered the phone, his attitude had totally changed. I thought maybe since it's been a while he forgot us. So I went and booked service call for the fridge he said he would be at my house the next day at 6/25/24 @ 10:30 am to look at the situation. The next day came, 10:30am no show, 11:30 am no show and mind u I took the day off work to have time to be home. I called several times no answer. My husband finally called him in the evening and he answered and lied to my husband that he said he would come the day after on 6/26/24 at 9:30am. I was beyond angry with the lie since my kids even heard him on the phone saying see you tomorrow 6/25/24 at 10:30am. So he came 6/26/24 n took our thermostat for the fridge and said he would order it. He never told us anything after that. So the next Monday I called and he said " yes, I ordered the part it will be in tonight 7/1/24 I ll come over tomorrow 7/2/24 with the part. Tuesday came n went. Nothing, all week. So we said maybe there is a delay but no communication from Gordon. Today is 7/9/24 I called no answer, my husband called no answer. This guy changed and into something horrible. I would never use him again n please never recommend him. If negative was a star, that's what I'd give him. He has our thermostat and we have a fridge/freezer that's not working for over 2 wks

I would encourage anyone considering Gordon Mahlert or this business to take note of their D- rating with the Better Business Bureau, their 26 negative reviews on Yelp spanning 10 years & their numerous negative reviews on Google.
This is an unscrupulous individual. He charged $200 for a service call & a deposit on an ordered part…that never arrived. For a span of 10 days I received no follow up.
After I posted a negative review on my local Facebook page, I was contacted by phone. Gordon Mahlert was belligerent & argumentative. I informed him I expected a refund. He refused telling me he completed the service call.
I will be pursuing this matter with the Office of the Attorney General - Division of Consumer Protection.
