Bought a dryer nearly the cost of a new one, and the lint trap infront was dirty, and the screen was dirty. Cash only.
We had a service call on our washing machine. We waited months for a part that never came in and when it did, they said they wont sell it to us! I assume their service man is too lazy or incompetent to remove the dryer tub to get to the blower motor, so they denied us service. After the service call The serviceman told us he would send us a copy of the bill and what the amount was for the part when he got to the store. That never happened. After making weekly calls for months, we were denied speaking with a manager, the staff would never identify themselves, then after months of waiting the young girl said "we have the part but we're not giving it to you." I was shocked, I guess I am guilty of calling to get the dryer fixed which belonged to my son with small children and both he and his wife have jobs which require multiple clothing changes per day. I expressed to them that my husband had just donated about $1100 in NEW parts to some CAFE appliances we no longer had, in hopes of encouraging a "small business," she said she did not care. I asked for a refund on my service call as she would not give me the receipt, nor the part number so we could get it fron elsewhere, she hung up on me. Im truyly unsure of why I paid for a service call that I received no service for and NO part number was given. This was not just one young girl, but multiple. So incredibly unprofessional, Im truly not sure how they stay in business with the lack of service they offer. Never to return to this small business.
This is my second set of appliances in about 8 years. Washer lasted about a good 6 years and went back for another. My dryer just went out a few weeks ago and replaced it again with APS. This dryer wasn’t turning off. Something with the dial. I called and they were able to send someone out the next day. Didn’t work for my schedule but today did. He came out, looked at the issue and decided they will just replace the dryer for me. Would be able to deliver tomorrow but again doesn’t work for my schedule so they’ll bring it Monday. Very satisfied with how quick they are and how accommodating. I will always shop with them for appliances.
UPDATE 1/23/2021 Our original purchase was made on 1/30/2020 and we purchased the 1 year warranty for $50.00 The machine failed mid December 2020 and it took APS Appliances until January 21, 2021 to rectify the problem! AN ENTIRE CALENDAR MONTH!!! And their customer service skills are in the toilet. Just because this company sells used (recycled/refurbished) appliances doesn't give them the privilege to use vulgar language in their conversation a with their customers. And, the "Warranty" is not in print and provided to the customer contrary to federal law. So, it's subject to the store's interpretation at that point in time. BUYER BEWARE!!! Original review> I realize this is a Used Appliance Store, but take some pride in your business! It was our experience that as a consumer, you better know what you are shopping for because the staff can't tell you. We had questions about the features of the item we were interested in but they couldn't answer them. All they could tell us was about the repairs that had been done to get the item on the floor along with the cost and delivery date. We had to Google everything else for ourselves. Plus, we came out smelling like cigarettes. The employees are smoking in the store/shop, which is not allowed in WI. As for the machine we did purchase, it seemingly was a good purchase; working well about 3 weeks in as of the posting of this review.
