As a homeowner, it can feel overwhelming to take on a large construction project, especially when it’s your family’s home. Our house is 35 feet by 85 feet, and we hired American General Contracting to completely frame, drywall, paint, and handle all of the exterior work, including brick and siding. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The slab they poured was absolutely beautiful — smooth, level, and professionally finished. You can truly tell when a crew takes pride in their craftsmanship, and that was evident from the very beginning. The framing was precise, the drywall work was clean and seamless, and the paint finish throughout the home looks incredible. One of my favorite parts of the process was being able to choose our exterior colors. American General is a sales representative for Hardie siding, and it was amazing getting to see all the different color options available. Having that level of selection and guidance made such a difference in the final look of our home. What really stood out to me was how respectful and organized their team was. They kept the property clean and well taken care of throughout the entire project. At the end of each day, things were picked up and orderly — which means so much when you have a little family at home. Chad was nothing but sweet, professional, and attentive the whole time. He made sure everything was taken care of for me and my family, answered every question I had, and truly made me feel comfortable throughout the process. American General Contracting did an outstanding job on our project. They completely reframed a 10x10 room and reframed our 14x25 garage with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The garage was also shingled, and the finished product looks fantastic. In addition, they replaced 13 windows throughout our home, which immediately improved both the appearance and energy efficiency. Every window was installed cleanly and professionally, with no shortcuts taken. They also built an 18x20 back patio porch for us, and it has quickly become one of our favorite parts of the house. The structure is solid, well-designed, and adds both value and functionality to our home. The crew was professional, respectful, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process.
