I would not recommend this company. We had a fence go down in July of 2025. I payed them in full to complete the job. It took them until January of 2026 to get to my job. There was little to no communication on completion date. I called the company and they told me to contact my estimator. He was little to no help. After the job was complete i received a second bill for almost $200. Keep in mind I payed in full 7 months ago. This company is not worth the headache in my opinion go with someone else.
Took this company 3 months to even come look at my storm damage then more time to finally repair. Horrible follow up. Paid for all services upfront and did not get work started for 6-8 weeks after payment. Used my money for a couple months. Gates have 3" gaps. Just not happy and would NOT recommend this company. Better companies out there but I was stuck with this one because it was storm damage and it's the only way my insurance would pay for repairs. THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY
I went with American Fence Company because they actually answered their phone and I got to talk to a person without leaving a message and waiting for a return call which other companies would call back when I was with clients and then I would have to leave another message. Fence was installed in the time frame they gave me. They did install a gate that was too short and my dogs were escape artists within 10 seconds. Communication was wonderful with this issue. They notified me ahead of time when they were coming to remove the gate to correct the issue so I could properly contain my dogs in the yard because they needed to remove the gate for a few days. Craig.... awesome! Brian....awesome!!
Very satisfied with all the things!!!
If your looking to get a chain link fence installed, please look elsewhere. We had a horrible experience with American Fence from the beginning. They cemented our gate in the wrong place because no one marked where it was going. No one measured the corners to make sure they were 90 degrees (on one side of our house the fence is 8+ inches off from being straight). Our yard is very flat, yet the top rail of the fence was extremely wavy. The fence has very sharp, exposed metal tips along the top and bottom. Every rail tie was put on wrong which bent the top diamonds down. No tools were used to tighten the chain link when installing-just a kid using one hand pulling on it. Our posts came all scuffed/scratched up. There's rust already on the gate only after 8 months. As soon as the fence was done, I spoke to the manager named Erik P. about my concerns-I said I wanted to physically show him what kind of work had been done here. He told me he'd come out the next day so I stayed at home ALL DAY and waited for him. He never showed. I called him the following week and he gave me the "family emergency" excuse. We played phone tag but eventually he never called back. Meanwhile, he could have just stopped over whenever and checked it out. I will probably contact corporate next. I had been wanting a fence for many years...now I have to look at this mess everyday. It's extremely embarrassing to pay as much as we did for something that looks like it does. We received unprofessional service and unacceptable results from American Fence. I really don't think it's a lot to ask for a professional fence company to build my fence straight and safe. Do yourself a favor and call Empire Fence-they did a fantastic job on our neighbor's chain link.
In response to American Fence's reply:
Great, thanks for taking the time to let me know that going forward everyone else's fence will be well built and pleasing on the eyes. I'll remember that when I'm outside admiring the permanent disaster that you erected in my yard.
No one from your business has ever bothered to reach out personally or offered to rectify the situation in any way. But yeah, "next time" I'll definitely reach out to you guys.
