I had a great experience at TCA Wireless in Pearl City. My daughter’s iPad had a charger tip broken off in the charging port and I was worried it was going to be an expensive repair. They diagnosed the problem in less than a minute and had it fixed in under five minutes.
What really impressed me was that they didn’t even insist on charging me for the quick fix. That kind of honesty and customer service is hard to find.
We live in Wahiawa and had already stopped at a few other shops that were either closed or too busy, so I’m really glad we came here. I’ll definitely be bringing my business back to them in the future. Highly recommend!
❌ Do not recommend.
❌ Poor communication.
❌ No responsibility for their mistakes.
❌ Waste of time and money.
l brought my phone in because it was not charging. They took it without properly testing or checking it and told me to come back later. No diagnosis, no explanation.
Before going back, I called to ask if it was ready. They said yes. When I arrived, the phone was charging, but now it did not recognize my SIM card, a problem I did NOT have when I brought it in.
The employee said the person who did the repair (Lauren Cornett) had already left and that she would look at it the next day. She even called Lauren in front of me to inform her of the problem.
The next day, I called again and was told the phone was ready. I went back, and nothing had been fixed. They hadn’t even looked at it.
At first, Lauren said she didn’t know there was a problem and thought she was just returning my phone. When I reminded her that I was there when they called her, she changed her story and said she forgot. Then she said she has “many customers and a life,” as if that excuses wasting my time and breaking my phone.
They admitted they couldn’t be reliable because they didn’t test the phone properly the first time. Then they said they would order three different parts and try to fix a problem THEY created.
At that point, I no longer trusted them and asked for a full refund and my phone back.
What shocked me most: they tried to take parts from the trash and put them back into my phone. Completely unacceptable. When I refused to let them touch my phone again, they processed my refund as if they were doing me a favor, instead of taking responsibility for damaging my phone and wasting my time.
No apology. No accountability. Just excuses and attitude.
This was a stressful, unprofessional, and careless experience.
They made my phone worse than when I brought it in.
My phone got soaked during the Honolulu Marathon. And sadly my phone was functioning the same way. So, I decided to take it to Aloha Phone Repair and it was the best decision EVER! The staff went above and beyond to fix my phone. They first thought was only water damage. But it turns out to be other issues. And at the end of the day, my phone was better then ever.
A huge shout out to Gerica Mae Pintor for the awesome straight forward service. She took her time and professional effort to get my phone fixed. And she did while running the store and taking care of her kids. She’s a definition of a super mom. Shout out to her and her patience.
Till this day, I’m still using my phone that they fixed.
I visited this wonderful Aloha Phone Repair on a random Thanksgiving day. Vanna was fantastic and really went out of her way to help me. I was so impressed with her service and the overall experience I had.
