We recently had extensive brick restoration completed on our historic church, St. Lawrence in Heber City, and the craftsmanship was nothing short of exceptional. Working on an older structure requires not only technical skill but a deep respect for the building’s character and history, and this team delivered both with excellence. There was so much respect for the sacred nature of the space and the crew has had many experiences of working on some of the older churches here in Utah. Even before we started the work and were only seeking quotes as we needed maintenance done but had no plans on how we would obtain the funds, Casey (one of the owners), offered all his advice from his experience he could and offered to be a resource in case we ever needed anything. He even offered to try to refer us to other businesses that could also help us if not him. Aside from quotes and experience, this was the main reason we chose Abstract. He was very generous and the care he took of us as a customer, even in the inspection of our building before any promise of work. He worked with us within our budget, and even did a little extra when we ended up having more money than originally planned. The work was expedient and helped us get the best and most work for what we could. Abstract also worked within our tight schedule for our annual parish event we had at the end of the week. Later, we also came to find out that 20 years or so prior, we had actually used them the first time around for this maintenance. As far as the work, the masons were meticulous --- carefully matching the existing brick, repairing damaged areas with precision, washing them, identifying future problem areas, and ensuring the finished result blended seamlessly with the original architecture. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the project, from mortar matching to the careful protection of surrounding materials. Communication throughout the process was accommodating and professional. The crew arrived on schedule, maintained a clean worksite, and demonstrated genuine care for our little Church. What initially seemed like a complicated and delicate project to us as the owner and caretaker of our Church building, was handled with confidence and integrity by the experts. Our church now looks renewed while still retaining its historic beauty. I unfortunately do not have pictures to add here as I switched jobs soon after the completion of their work, but please pay us a visit anytime or look up our little Church online. We are deeply grateful for the skill and dedication shown in this restoration and would highly recommend this team to anyone seeking quality masonry work—especially for buildings that require expertise, sensitivity, and respect for their heritage as well as sacredness. We would love to give 10 stars. The workers that came out to fix our garage after a drunk driver plowed into it were amazing. The work ethic was something I have not seen before. They left the site remarkably clean each day after they were done. Will and Greg were outstanding and great to work with. They never quit just kept working. They were well ahead of schedule on the project. They made a wall to keep our garage secure and free of dust.
