Excellent service. They are prompt and don’t try to upsell or talk you into things you don’t need. They also do Maryland State inspections and can do Vespa scooter service which is usually hard to find.

We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with A Amigo Auto Repair. We went in for a vehicle inspection required by Uber before registering to drive, and we feel completely scammed. The mechanic waited until after completing the inspection and collecting the fee to inform us that our car had failed — because of the window tint. This is something that could’ve (and should’ve) been pointed out before even starting the inspection, especially since it was visible right away. It felt incredibly dishonest and like a setup to take our money knowing the car wouldn’t pass. If there were clear guidelines or requirements, we should’ve been told upfront — not after being charged. We do not recommend this place for anyone needing vehicle inspections — especially if you're trying to drive for Uber or Lyft. Be cautious and get all the information in writing before they touch your car.
I strongly advise caution when considering Amigos Auto Repairs for your vehicle needs. My experience was deeply disappointing for several reasons: Unprofessional Payment Request: During the inspection, I was asked to make payment via personal apps like Zelle to avoid credit card processing fees. This was not only unprofessional but also concerning as it bypassed proper transaction records and consumer protection. Inconsistent Pricing and Lack of Transparency: I was initially quoted one price for the inspection, but when I questioned the final cost, the price suddenly changed. There were no clear price listings as required by law, and the invoices I received lacked any breakdown of parts or labor costs. The prices felt arbitrary with no justification, making it hard to trust the fairness of the charges. Unjustified Repairs: I was told that a fender liner replacement was necessary to pass the Maryland safety inspection. After seeking multiple opinions from other mechanics, it was confirmed that this was not a safety requirement. Furthermore, I was told that I couldn't provide my own parts for the repair, which seemed like an excuse to charge me more. This lack of flexibility, combined with the possibility of overcharging, raised serious concerns about the shop's practices. Overall, my experience at Amigo Auto Repairs felt dishonest and unprofessional. I recommend seeking a more transparent and reputable mechanic for your vehicle repairs.
I went to this repair shop twice. The first time was to understand why my Ford escape 2012 was making a chirping sound. They charged me $40 to inspect the vehicle not a problem. I came back the second time around a couple months later and told them I figured out the problem there was an exhaust leak somewhere. They told me it's only an exhaust hanger repair and wanted to charge me $250... I said no there's an exhaust leak this has nothing to do with hangers on the exhaust. They tried to basically scam me out my money by not actually fixing the problem at hand which was an exhaust leak in my muffler and converter.
