Backing my truck into the drive my foot slipped off the brake, hit that other pedal just to the right of it and floored it 3-4’ past my normal 2-3 inches from the outside of door. Those boots are now in the big blue container with the wheels and the lid and the big white letters on the front of it. Didn’t even dent the door. Blew right through it just like one of those UTube videos I normally shake my head and chuckle at. Not your normal “repair” job. It took a few minutes to rub my eyes and pick my chin up off the ground but this was a real mess. Destroyed all four panels, tracks….if it was part of the door, it now wasn’t. I never bothered... It took a few minutes to rub my eyes and pick my chin up off the ground but this was a real mess. Destroyed all four panels, tracks….if it was part of the door, it now wasn’t. I never bothered with the before (immediately after accident) photos. Kinda embarrassing. Lol It was hard to laugh at but what else could I do but fume and rant and say what if? My wife persuaded me to avoid the latter! So I said to myself as neighbors rode by pointing and laughing (people can be mean!) I said…“I can see already this is NOT gonna buff right out!” A trusted friend referred me to Veterans. Matt was out the next morning ON TIME and we hit it off right away. He’s a personable, professional and very knowledgeable guy! After a few “how the hells?” lol he looked over the crash sight, worked up a solid quote as we had a few laughs and some casual conversation, shook my hand and sealed the deal. He was back in a day with all the materials and tools he needed to do the job. The mangled door was in a precarious position held up only by the cables at the bottom and a trailer full of stuff parked in there. Matt took his time being safe In disassembling the panels and once those were outta the way he stayed focused on the task at hand, worked diligently and did a GREAT job! Went way beyond expectations and I’m well pleased. He assured me that if I had any questions or problems he’d be right back to handle it. After a quick look I’m confident we’re ALL GOOD here. Yeah I’m long winded and a cut up! Lol ..I’m recently retired but somehow found time on my hands to reflect on the past few days and leave this review. lol I know other people in this business personally that were a bit cheaper but I’ve learned over many years that acquaintances sometimes are prone to take advantage of a situation and make up the difference by skimping and with excuses. I didn’t have to go through any of that with Matt. He was very thorough and professional throughout the whole process and I’m not gonna let a couple hundred dollars be the difference in my judge of character and confidence in a first impression like Matt’s vs MAYBE my ole buddy won’t get me this time. lol Now I know I made the right decision goin with Matt and Veterans GDs. I HIGHLY recommend hiring these guys!!! Thanx, Matt & co.
