I recently hired VanBecks Roofing and Siding on behalf of my client to replace the flat roof on the north side of a home located in the Heritage District of Kalamazoo. From our very first contact to project completion, their communication was clear, precise, and proactive. The owner himself took a genuine interest in the project, which gave us great confidence given the strict historical guidelines involved.
Working within heritage regulations can feel overwhelming, but the VanBecks team made the entire process seamless. I'd highly recommend Vanbecks for Roofing needs. My husband and I worked with them after a tree fell on our roof, and Vanbecks had been great to work with! They're a good local company who will do right by you!
If you're going through your homeowners insurance for a damage claim like we were, Vanbecks will handle negotiations with your insurance company for you once you have a claim in. Their guy knows what he's doing, and will make sure you get the coverage you've been paying your insurance for.
The young guy who came out to give us the initial quote was excellent, happy to answer questions, and explain things. No upselling, no BS, everyth...I'd highly recommend Vanbecks for Roofing needs. The guy who came out to do the roof repair went above and beyond, he did quick, high quality work in 10° weather, cleaned up after himself,and even shoveled the driveway landing strip when the plow came through.
As of writing this review, we're waiting for them to finish up with the gutters, but at this point, I can't recommend them enough.

We just finished having our 28 year old shingles stripped and replaced. This process from the very first contact to the completion of the project was absolutely outstanding. From the first phone call to the final walk through everyone has been the very best to work with. The professionalism of everyone from staff to the installation crew have made us feel totally confident that they were all looking after our best interests. They have all been thoughtful, respectful, professional and knowledgeable of the processes and skilled trades.

Their installation crew was always there on time and worked together so well it was a enjoy to have them here. Everyone knew what they were doing and spent very little time talking about it. They came early, worked almost none stop, except for brief lunch breaks, and magically had the job done in less time than I would have ever expected. I wish our original roof had been installed with such care and skill as this crew has done. When finished, everything was picked up and cleaned up very well and the final walk through showed there was nothing left to do except sit back and enjoy life under out new roof.
