I went to the Windham office looking for a replacement part for my central vac power head. We put in the central vac in 1980. I thought it was a standard part and I could not remember if it was a Sears power head or a replacement. He said the part was not standard, doubted that the part was still available, thought I would need a new replacement, but suggested I bring in the power head for him to look at. Upon viewing the power head, he immediately recognized the brand that went out of business decades ago and stopped production on their parts. Now I was faced with having to buy a new one $$$$, yikes. Then he said to wait a minute, maybe he h... I went to the Windham office looking for a replacement part for my central vac power head. We put in the central vac in 1980. I don't need vacuum cleaner repairs very often, but when I do, I'll go to the Vacuum Doctor in N. Windham.
Owner was very nice; bought a Clean Obsessed backpack vac. No owner's manual. The top screws off for the hepa filters but it comes off hard and goes on harder. Tough on arthritic hands. Put the hose assembly in and it broke. Nice!!! Going back.
Every time I need vacuum bags, I have to wait for it to be a day that he is actually open. So today he advertised that he is open till 5. After I was done cleaning my houses for the day, I went to his business to get more miele bags, and all I find is a note on the door saying closed early. This is not the first time this has happened to me. So I call him on the # he left on the door. He answered and told me he had a doctors appointment. Well if you ask me that is just bad business. Probably about half the time I show up to his store to get stuff, he is not open during the hours he said he will be open. That is bad business. He is only open 3...
