I have been going to this Tunex for multiple years and unfortunately they lost a loyal customer. I recently took my vehicle in to get it checked out and they discovered over $3,000 worth of issues. I take my vehicle to get it checked regularly and so this more than surprised me. I ended up taking the car and going to a separate shop to get a second opinion and see if this was true. The second shop instructed me that there were some issues like having to replace the sway bar links. They then proceeded to tell me the other issues that was written out on my quote was barely even an issue and there was no need to replace these items. I was told t... I was told that they needed to be replaced with the sway bar links. I felt very obviously scammed with this information with the other shop only charging around $400. The receptionist is very nice and is always helpful, but I am extremely disappointed with the practices that were just shown.
My family and I have been coming here for nearly 25 years. Corey as always done great work. He rebuilt our engine on our Jeep, fixed the computer, replaced my water pump, among many other things. I recently had an issue with my car having a long crank. So I brought it in and was told it needed a valve adjustment. I paid $404 and was told the issue was fixed. When I tried starting the car outside of their shop, it still had the same problem. So I went in and told Paige right away. I got my car fixed elsewhere, and my issue had nothing to do with the valves that "needed adjusting." So I came in and expressed everything that happened. They cla... They claimed i had error codes that the valve adjusment fixed, yet, when i brought my car in, there were no codes and my check engine light wasn't even on. The woman there (Paige) must have cut me off 20 times when I tried to explain to her that I was unhappy with the service. She even said to me "I don't know why you bring your car here at all, you have a cng car so you should just take your car to a mechanic that can do everything for your car. If I were you I would just never bring your car here again." What I heard was, take your business elsewhere. When I asked for a refund she was adamant that my car "needed the valve adjustment." My issue is whatever they did, didn't fix the issue I came in for, even though she claimed it did. My other issue is simply how rude Paige was to a customer who's been going there for many years, even though I was very nice and tried to explain my issue. Cutting a customer off 20+ times and being extremely rude the entire time is bad for the business. They can keep their $404 and, like she asked, I will take my business elsewhere. It's just a shame that I couldn't talk to Corey directly, because it certainly wouldn't have come to this. I also had a chance to speak to the mechanic who did the work (Austin) who seemed like a stand up dude. I even feel that he was on my side but stopped talking as Paige berated me. Paige made it sound like I was trying to get free work done on my car which is simply not the case. I came in, told them my issue, was told my issue was fixed, and left with the same issue.
On spot renewal, was in and out in like 20mins. Great customer service supper friendly. Highly recommend for on spot renewal
I go here every year for my emissions and now oil changes. I've never had a problem with them. The guys are pretty knowledgeable and so is the receptionist she will explain everything to you about your car. I trust them with my car!
