Friday, September 11, 2020, we had a lengthy discussion with a Superior employee (who was not the owner). We specifically asked that if we purchased a dishwasher through another company, would Superior install the appliance? We were told a very definite yes by the Superior employee and given the price of $90.00 that included installation, any install parts needed and hauling the old dishwasher away. Having this information, we set out to get prices on dishwashers from various companies and finally found a suitable dishwasher for us. We called Superior back today, Tuesday, September 15, 2020, to set a date for installation of the new dishwash... We called Superior back today, Tuesday, September 15, 2020, to set a date for installation of the new dishwasher and haul away of the old dishwasher. But, during our call today, the owner told us we misunderstood and were mistaken that Superior would install any other dishwasher except one purchased through their company. There were 2 of us on the call both on Friday, September 11th and today, only to be told by the owner that they would not provide any services for us because we had not purchased our dishwasher through them. Can you as a customer imagine how let down we were? .. and put into a predicament that could have been prevented having to arrange finding someone who will now haul away our old dishwasher, on top of finding someone who will now install it. The reasoning for not giving us these services was 1. Not purchasing through them 2. Telling us it was for liability reasons ( which makes no sense because we were told, by a separated Superior Repair Technician, Superior will do repairs on non-Superior purchased appliances. This is in direct conflict of what the owner told us regarding liability issues since the repair technician told us that they do repair dishwashers regardless of where they are purchased. Where is the logic in a policy that says they will repair any appliance purchased anywhere but will only install their own products because of liability issues?? We would have purchased a dishwasher from Superior, if their worker had told us correct information up front. Now, we’re stuck with no one to install & stuck with having to find someone to haul the dishwasher away because of the confusion Superior caused. Superior lost the sale of an appliance, the sale of installation and any future recommendations from us all because the owner failed to train her personnel properly. Superior may like to claim that this was a misunderstanding on our part but, it wasn’t. To verify, we repeated back the information to the employee in order to make certain we were absolutely clear on what we were told about the services we were going to receive. The owner should have honored what we were told because it was their error and confusion, not ours. Had they done this then they could truly call themselves Superior. But because of this, they are inferior. In conclusion, the owner did not even apologize for the misinformation. How many others have been inconvenienced & turned away from their services like us?
