Jan 3, 2026High quality work for guitar amp repairs.
2521 Copperwood Dr, Anchorage, Alaska 99516
I first used him when I built a guitar amplifier from a kit and it didn't work. I was surprised he would even look at it as it was home built- but he did and made it work great! Since then he has fixed several tube amps I built that had issues, always a great job. I don't think anyone else in Alaska would even work on them but he did. Can't recommend highly enough!
Unbelievably good, unbelievably reasonable price, sometimes a little slow but absolutely worth it. Especially helpful with mid and high range stereo equipment - amps, preamps, speakers, you name it. Couldn't recommend anyone in the state who is better or even close.
Mr. Han is a life saver. He was able to repair my record player I've had since high-school and his pricing is more than fair. 100% would reccomend.
Expensive and Cash only. So be ready for that. Fast turn around. Excellent. He's fixed 2 of my guitar amps and a power amp.
Took my Pioneer Stereo Amplifier that was over 40 years old to get fixed & was amazed at how fast & reasonable the price was !! I really liked how honest Han was & how he also showed me the parts that were replaced & explained everything. I would definitely go back again. I live 100 miles away & the drive was so worth it.
Definitely charges a little bit steep of a price but at least I know if there’s any issues with the repair work I can always bring it back to him and he’ll take care of it. Saving many of my vintage electronics from having to go in the dumpster. I really appreciate his service and I’m glad he’s local.
I had a stereo receiver that needed repair - it had a loud and irritating power supply hum. I took it to Sunset Services and the problem was fixed. Importantly for this review when I got the receiver back, although improved, there was still a slight hum. I took it back to the shop and more clearly explained the situation. The owner completed the repair and entirely solved the problem without additional charge. I think the difficulty was that English is not his first language and I likely did not entirely explain the problem. I've had the unit back now for two weeks and it is absolutely quiet and a joy to listen to again. The owner knows his stuff, is trustworthy, did a good job for a fair price. If you are like me and hate to throw stuff away because it may only need a $1 diode replaced, then consider this business.
Han really knows eleconic repairs and goes to the effort to make sure that they will be usable again. Nice to have the service required to return things to use in this disposable society.
This place is pretty unhelpful. I called asking for assistance in identifying what kind of replacement needle I should order for a 1960s record player, specifically requesting to load up the console so that he could look at it and give me guidance. Of course I’m willing to pay for this assistance. The owner told me he’s very busy and to call back in three weeks. I set a calendar reminder and called back in three weeks. He told me to google it. (Which of course I’ve already done). Frustrating.
'Anchorage Guitar Central' recommend this place to me as I was trying to get some soldering work done on my guitar amplifier- specifically a 16-Pin Monothic IC soldered onto a PCB. It looks fairly easy, but the owner who spoke gave WAY too many excuses as to WHY he didn't want to do it. Hard to understand as well. I wouldn't trust this business with any of your electronics. I should have looked at the reviews first. Stay away. Rude and lazy business.
