Sumner Place Shoe Repair

This place was recommended by my neighbors, and it's wonderful place! The zipper on one of my long boots was broken from last year, I was asking about the shoe repair service at Montgomery Mall, and was told, it would take about $65 to replace the zipper. Today, I called the Sumner Place Shoe Repair, and the owner told me the zipper can be fixed, or if it needs to be replaced, it would be $30, that's a big difference. Took a number of pairs of pumps to him for re-heeling. Not only were the repairs I asked for perfect, he also cleaned up the shoes, making even the most scratched patent leather shoes look like new. I also took a leather bag with a hole in the seam to him, asking him to fix the hole and reinforce the top seams. I've been using the repaired bag for two years and the seam he mended are working stupendously. His customer service is fantastic and the pictures on the wall show you that he's really a community fixture. I now drive 15 minutes out of my way to bring my shoes to this cobbler.

Skip is one of the hardest working persons I know and appreciate. He pulled off a miracle for my daughter. She had placed a brand new pair of suede boots in her car for over 6 months - they had birthday cake all over most the foot area of the boot. I had zero expectations and much to my absolute surprise- Skip carefully cleaned and treated these boots and they’re like NEW! I’ll never bring my shoes/boots to anyone else!
