I visited the store for the first time today with a Shark handvac that I didn’t buy there. I could not get the filter off to clean it, and thought I must be doing it wrong. The lady who works there showed me how to remove the filter case, and she cleaned it out for me as well. N/C
I was very grateful and extremely impressed to say the least with the customer service I received. I will definitely return there for sure.

I came in to get a new telescoping electric wand for my Miele C2. To ensure compatibility, I brought my whole vacuum to the store. Robin immediately offered to inspect the rest of the vacuum, free of cost. She wiped everything down, diagnosed any issues my vacuum had (a clearly dirty HEPA filter), and swapped out my bag for free! My floorbrush has seen some better days, but she told me honestly that fixing the worn parts would cost more than 50% what a new one would be, so it wasn’t worth (didn’t try to upsell me). She taught me about some features that I didn’t know about—despite having this vacuum for 5+ years. Robin was extremely knowledga...I came in to get a new telescoping electric wand for my Miele C2. In a day and age where Amazon dominates sales for anything and everything, please go ahead and support this business—you won’t be disappointed!

I have purchased many products, which equate to thousands of dollars from Stony Brook Vacuums. One of my items was hardly ever used and was broken. Therefore, I dropped the item off to be repaired. The owner Robin told me to give her a call at the end of the week in which I did. As per conversation she did not have a chance to look at the item and needed more time. I continued to call, leaving numerous messages and never received a call back. This continued going on for approximately two months or longer. Finally I was able to get in touch with Robin to find out that the item was not repairable. I do not live near Stony Brook vacuums, so approximately two weeks later I stopped by on a Friday to pick the product up only to find out that Robin was not able to locate my product. Unfortunately I was in a huge rush, since I was with my daughter and baby granddaughter who had to get home to eat. I know she was working with another couple, but being that I don’t live near stony Brook vacuums all I wanted was to pick up my broken product up. Yes she was nice enough to give me the same one, but the entire experience was extremely aggravating. At the same time I had a problem with another product, so I brought that in as well in which I was once again told that she would order it and would have it in by Thursday. Thursday came and went and never received a call back. I finally called again and she was nasty and rude to me on the phone and hung up. There are many other small businesses who sell vacuums and that’s where I will take my business, especially when one lacks integrity, returning phone calls and lacks professionalism.
Robin you are a liar with your response back to me. I called many times and you constantly stated you didn’t call the company. The product was not 3 years old. It was a little over two years old. Re the other product I brought in for you to look at, you stated that I needed a roller. You removed the roller and kept it, said you would have it in on the following Thursday. Thursday came and went and I never received a call from you and was chasing you for weeks. I was not the one who was nasty, or lacked professionalism. It was YOU.

We brought our very old Oreck vacuum in for a complete overhaul and are very satisfied. It is better now than our 1 year old Shark vacuum. This store is very good and I recommend them.
