I had a very disappointing experience with Steve’s TV. From the moment I walked in, the guy up front came across as disingenuous and more focused on collecting the $30 diagnostic fee than actually helping. Afterward, he followed up with a quote for a component that cost significantly more than simply buying a brand-new TV, which immediately raised red flags. To make matters worse, after telling me the absurdly high cost to repair it, I was then asked whether I would be picking the TV up or allowing them to “dispose” of it. That only added to my concerns and reinforced the feeling that this was more about money than customer service. It also... I had a very disappointing experience with Steve’s TV. That only added to my concerns and reinforced the feeling that this was more about money than customer service. It also made me question how a customer is supposed to know whether a part they claim is “bad” was actually faulty to begin with—and not swapped out for something nonfunctional. That lack of transparency is concerning, especially when dealing with electronics. First impressions matter, and in this case, they were spot-on. I should have trusted my gut. I would not trust these guys to work on any electronic device and will not refer anyone to them. EVER. On top of that, the TVs they sell in-store are overpriced, which makes you wonder what their business model really is and how they stay in business. Overall, I would not recommend Steve’s TV and won’t be returning.
