Update:
After reading the owners comments I want to clear up a few things. They never offered me a warranty on the used Ferris. They sold It to me with a cracked frame then tried to do some shady stuff and have another dealer cover their mistake without notifying me. Put me in a bad place with another dealer and then was told well that plan won’t work because they don’t like me and now they know what I was trying to do. Also said It had a 1200 hour warranty. There’s no such thing.
Scag is running great not because of them but because Robs lawn and garden has gone above and beyond when I have needed service.

Please please please do not go here whatever you do. Tim may be the worst sales person I’ve ever met. He lies and lies and lies. It’s not a one time thing go look at other reviews. Do not trust him. Eureka rental, Caldwell equipment or even Scott’s are all way better. Eureka rental actually cares about their customers and they sell the best mowers out there… FERRIS. If you want a shop that has great dealer support, is trustworthy, and knows a thing or two about equipment STL equipment is not the one!

Was referred to this company by someone I barely knew and want to warn others about what happened.
I wanted a leaf vac for my dump trailer that I already owned. Tim was confident he could install on rear of my brand new trailer with a Scag swing away hitch (which was a stock item but unclear on price)
St. Louis Equipment had plenty of time to install (2 weeks) and when i showed up i almost didnt even recognize my own trailer because the vac was on the front near the tongue. No one communicated the change and i was a bit worried. Realizing later the 450 lb vac would be at a 45 degree angle when i dump 20' in the air. No one communicated the change and i was a bit worried. Realizing later the 450 lb vac would be at a 45 degree angle when i dump 20' in the air. The vac wouldnt start until battery was charged. Tim went MIA. The hoses werent hooked up and i really started to wonder.
I left and was about to get on 55 but something told me to go to nuway and get grass seed. By the time i got there the vac already bent trailer body, leaning and bolts were loose and missing. I couldnt get a hold of tim at this point.
Tim eventually admitted his wrong and gave me parts and labor back and 1k back. Unloaded the vac and dropped on jack. The picture of jack was when i got to welders shop. Fast forward to this week. I couldnt hook up or unhook from trailer becaus of jack. Tim admitted to dropping vac but not on trailer.
I charged battery and swapped out jack but do your research before shopping here. I didnt. I spent 8k, got 3k back and it still not happy over this.
Side note my buddy was there getting a 1/2 yard of base when i was there. Got loaded a yard in a small trailer with suv not suitable for the weight.
I was better off before i knew this place existed.
Update:
Battery is toast. See picture. Brand new vacuum with a bad battery. One of the screws was stripped. Makes me think someone swapped battery's. Tim wouldn't do anything about the jack but I'm going to see if he will do anything about the battery.
Replying to Tim
The first time I unhooked after I left your shop was at Valles Mines where the welder did exactly what I want. Welders wear jorts and you can see the jack in picture. These weren't months away from each other but things kept popping up. What popped up when I started actually working is another thing. A loose choke. I would recommend anyone shopping here have a mechanic you trust thoroughly inspect anything you purchase. And no Tim I didnt write another review.
2 days out of work. $
$175 new jack
$105 new battery
Repair choke? $?
Don't waste your time here.

Where do I start, this place is my 2nd home. Usually you get mad or upset when equipment breaks…. Not when you have St. Louis Equipment. I know Tim is going to take care of me I know I’m going to be back to work in no time. Have I had loose bolts before yes… they always make it right after all they are human….. this is a seasonal business just like us lawn care guys we are running crazy 6 months a year so are they & for a shop to have you in and out in just a day or two show me another shop around that does that, I’ll wait……I seen other reviews talking about they didn’t take care of you but if you treat these guys with respect they give it ri...Where do I start, this place is my 2nd home. I don’t even want to know what I have spent over the last few years because I’ll be sick but I’m damn happy to be supporting those that support me. I look up to Tim because any and all questions he answers and treats me with respect even lawn care related questions other guys in the industry would wave you off. Hell I have even asked if I should buy something to help me and he’s said it’s not worth it or it’s not needed. You don’t find that honesty in dealers now a days your a number in a system & a dollar sign. Here I feel like family and they have my back when it comes to the backbone of my business (equipment) no matter the brand they sell I will buy, why because dealer support is superior to everything and these guys knock dealer support out the park!!! Example I was on a job site needed something as simple as a new pole saw tim offered to have it delivered so I could keep working!! Every time I walk through the door I’m greeted by my name and treated like family. I added a few pictures of things I have bought the last few years. Plus it’s a one stop shop, you can buy shit, fix shit, & dump shit 🤣
Much love , Brandon’s Lawn Care LLC
