Where do I even begin? I purchased my home two months ago and inherited a maintenance agreement with Sprinklers NW from the previous homeowner, including a backflow test and seasonal prep. I left two voicemails to confirm—both were mysteriously “lost.” That set the tone for everything that followed.
When they finally came out in late June, they told me I needed a new filter… and then removed it and left without replacing it, giving me no part number or solution — just a vague “go find one yourself.”

I purchased my home two months ago and inherited a maintenance agreement with Sprinklers NW from the previous homeowner, including a backflow test and seasonal prep. When they finally came out in late June, they told me I needed a new filter… and then removed it and left without replacing it, giving me no part number or solution — just a vague “go find one yourself.”
Then came the trees. Half of them are diseased or dead, and were clearly in bad condition when they were installed (in October 2024). Their own technician told me the trees were under warranty and would be replaced. But when their so-called “head guy” came out, he reversed that entirely, saying warranties don’t transfer to new homeowners. What a convenient way to dodge responsibility.
But that’s not all.
I had an independent third-party irrigation inspector come out — and he said that every single sprinkler head and nozzle had been installed incorrectly. Sprinklers NW even told me they “reworked the system” for the previous owner, so it’s clear their crew was responsible for the botched coverage and dead grass across the entire yard. They reconfigured the system, but it’s completely non-functional. The grass is fried and dying fast, and multiple young trees are cooked from inadequate irrigation. The tech that came out had to finish their initial drip system that was half finished back in October.
Their communication has been consistently terrible. Every interaction has been met with excuses, finger-pointing, or indifference — from the person answering phones to upper management.
The only semi-decent experience I had was with the service tech who visited — he was at least polite. But again: he left me with a dismantled system and no clear resolution.
If you’re reading this: don’t work with this company. Don’t plant with them. Don’t trust their system installs. Don’t count on warranties. And don’t expect anyone to take accountability when something goes wrong.

Cannot recommend this company in fact, I would warn, especially anyone who doesn’t know the basics about irrigation and landscaping to stay away.
Outside of our own issues with this company, I’ve had countless complaints of similar issues from our neighbors and friends in other neighborhoods close by.
We moved into a new development and the builder contracted with this company. And we found out from one of their previous employees that they take all of their young trainees and tell them to lay the sprinkler heads right off the concrete crease before the sod’s put down to cut corners as there is no digging required.

The problem with that is the back spray hits the concrete and you’re literally are watering the concrete. Ours was cracked and had to be repaired because of this.
Typical irrigation you install the sprinkler line/head a foot to 2 feet in. This allows for proper maintenance like edging work, and preventing damage to the concrete ,as well as creating a reasonable gap for fencing to be put in without damaging the irrigation system ,let alone damaged sprinkler heads.
They didn’t not adjust the sprinkles they installed, they were watering the street. We had to have multiple heads moved.
They planted trees that are very toxic to dogs that and we had to pull out a replace them. They did a poor excuse of a job laying sod with gaps and holes 🕳️ over 4inches everywhere. It’s one giant lumpy tripping hazard .Every landscape company and yard maintenance company we have had out could not help pointing how awful it looked and gaps/ holes when walking.
We got Sod ourselves and still are having to cut and patch a year later. We had them out multi times because they couldn’t get the job done right the first time. It’s not work the headache to work with them, even if it was under warranty we decided to do it ourselves or hire another company to save time and stress.

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review for Sprinklers Northwest. The people I interacted with (Kyle and Caleb) were polite and friendly. So much so that Caleb even said that since we have a new build house that he would throw in our first blowout for free this October. I didn’t ask for this but he just offered. Of course I accepted. When I called their office later to line up a time, I was put on the schedule and told Kyle that Caleb told me this first one would be for free and I understood that he would need to confirm this.

After a few days, Kyle said that his “higher ups” would not honor this offer by Caleb. And that he has done this in the past. I told Kyle that I would find it difficult to do business with a company that does not honor their word to customers and to put in the request again to his manager. Again, after a day or so Kyle returned my call and said they will not honor the offer of a one-time free blowout. I told him to cancel the appointment and that I would be going with a different company that I can trust what they say.
Again, nice people but management does not honor the word of their customer-facing representatives.
Avoid them or get everything in writing.

Disappointed. We used this company because our builder had already contracted with them for the front yard, so it kept it easy to have them do our backyard. We paid extra for a care package, but they never once came back to fertilize or re-seed our backyard, and have not returned my husband's calls or emails. It sucks because it's now summer and our yard is still unusable. My hope is someone with this company sees this review and gets ahold of us to actually finish work on our backyard, although at this point I think we'd be better off getting our money back and doing the work ourselves.
