Sound Guitar Repair

Looking around at the depth of work Kat was doing on some sweet instruments, I felt silly bringing in my out-of-the-box Squire Bass but she filed frets, re-strung it, took the crick out of the neck and had it playing like warm butter in no time. I highly recommend Sound Guitar. She deffinitely cares about her work and it shows.

Kat thoroughly impressed me with her knowledge about guitars and guitar repair. She's going to be repairing at least two guitars of mine. I highly recommend her. If you need guitar repairs, I would see her first.

Cat is amazing. Brought in my Squier Jag guitar and turned it over to Cat for a proper Set Up and wow she took this affordable little guitar that was straight out of the box and has made it so much easier to play for me! She clearly knows her craft. Many thanks Cat!

A word of warning: make sure you get everything in writing BEFORE you turn your guitar over to Kat. My experience with her was terrible. Rather than calling with estimates as promised, Kat went ahead and did everything she thought my guitar could possibly need. When I balked at paying for very expensive work I had not approved and didn't even want, it became clear that I wasn't getting my guitar back until I paid for everything in full. I have a 47 year old Gurian guitar that was unplayable for the last ten years. It is a beautiful instrument. Sitka top and Brazilian back and sides. After many attempts and some bad repairs I was referred to Cat Fox by Alex Glasser of Ironhorse Instruments. I sent the guitar to Vermont and she rebuilt it. It has never sounded better and plays beautifully! If you have an instrument you care about and want the best person working on it, send it to Sound Guitar Repair. You will not be disappointed...
