Jay helped me pick out a great wedding gift for my father. VERY knowledgeable about the watches that they sell. Great selection of Hamilton, Longines, Tissot and Bulova. Would definitely come back to this jewelry shop just outside of Akron!
In October, I entrusted Shulan’s with several family heirloom rings to be resized—pieces that carry deep personal and sentimental value. What followed was a frustrating and disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share to warn others. After four weeks, no work had been done on the rings. I then waited an additional week just for them to be returned to the store for pickup. During this time, I called multiple times seeking updates and received conflicting and inconsistent explanations each time. I was first told the rings would be finished in another week. On a later call, I was told all but one ring were complete, and that the rem... I then waited an additional week just for them to be returned to the store for pickup. During this time, I called multiple times seeking updates and received conflicting and inconsistent explanations each time. I was first told the rings would be finished in another week. On a later call, I was told all but one ring were complete, and that the remaining ring needed to be sent to a platinum specialist. On my final call—before I ultimately requested the rings be returned—I was told they were still waiting on an estimate. These contradictory responses left me feeling misled and honestly lied to. When you entrust irreplaceable family jewelry to a business, transparency and honesty are the bare minimum—and I did not receive either. I’m sharing this because I don’t believe my experience is unique, and others deserve to be aware before handing over items that cannot be replaced. It’s especially disappointing because I make a point to support small, family-owned businesses over large retail chains. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning to Shulan’s.
John, who helped me customize an amazing engagement ring, did a wonderful job with the ring! He stayed right around my price range and pulled off a great product in the end. The service was a quick turnaround as well. I highly recommend visiting John and the rest of the staff at Shulan`s!
I had the disappointment of making an appointment at a rival Jewelers for a ring resize only to be informed they didn't resize jewelery that had not been purchased from them. I did not even need an appointment at Shulans, they saw me right away and said no problem. My ring just came back perfect, I will definitely go to Shulans first next time!
I will never shop at another jewelry store again. My wife and I stopped in to browse for a ten year anniversary piece. John was more than helpful and had many heirloom quality pieces to show us. After a few weeks we decided on a ring that John personally designed and built himself. We agreed on the price point and I gave them a deposit over the phone. HERE COMES THE ICING ON THE CAKE…. John then called me less than an hour later to inform me that there had been some adjustments to the price of platinum and diamonds and he will be charging me $500 dollars less. I had already agreed to pay the previous price and was thrilled about the pr... I will never shop at another jewelry store again. My wife and I stopped in to browse for a ten year anniversary piece.
