Shields Fence

This company doesn’t want to give you any time options. When I told them that the day they were giving me to come to my property to discuss the job didn’t work for me, they told me they will call me back, which they never did. I followed up about 2 weeks later with a phone call. I left a message but they never returned it. If you want to use this company make sure that you are always at home so that your schedule will always fit with theirs.

From start to finish, working with Jake and Allyson from Shields was an excellent experience. Communication was great. It was very easy to pay on line. The new fence is of high quality and very sturdy and fits snugly. I can highly recommend Shields.

Shields Fence did an amazing job. They were quick in providing a quote, had easy-to-use invoices/payment, and gave a precise installation time frame. They installed two sections of vinyl picket fence to finish fencing in our yard and reinforced a fence shared with our neighbors, which was falling over. It was a quick install and they could not have been more accommodating of our changes/requests. The family is thrilled with the results!

Jake was AWESOME to work with. We didn’t really know exactly what we wanted for a fence in our front yard. I called and we talked the next day, he came out to the house and talked us through options. Ended up recommending a clever customization that was just what we needed. We got multiple quotes and found his to be the best option. He did the job in just a few days and we love using our new space! Would fully recommend.

We are very happy with our Shields Fence experience. Jake replaced our ugly chainlink fence with a beautiful vinyl one. He was quick to visit, provided some great suggestions, and gave us a reasonable quote. Communication was good and installation was done in a very reasonable time. Allyson in the office was a pleasure to deal with as well. I love supporting great family businesses like this, it beats dealing with the big companies that don't care as much every time.

Jake was fantastic and repaired a small section of our fence damaged in a storm. He was quick to communicate and was able to coordinate with me via text. (I am often not able to pick up the phone which makes it difficult to coordinate with many contractors.) He completed the repair quickly and left the area very clean. He also noticed a decorative fence post cap was damaged on the other side of our house and replaced it for us. The final cost of our repair was exactly in the range estimated. I will absolutely contact Jake the next time we need fence work done.

I’ve hired Jake three separate times to help repair and replace parts of our fence at two different homes. While the quality of his work top shelf, his communication, knowledge and honesty are what sets him apart from anyone else you’ll hire. If you’re considering going with a big name in the area, don’t. Support an incredibly hard working small business owner who has forgotten more about fences than any of us will ever know. Guy is the Michelangelo of fences.
