Sam the Concrete Man did an exceptional job on my driveway and sidewalk this past fall. My driveway at the entrance to my garage had sunk about 4 inches. It is now level with my garage floor. They reinforced the new cement my installing rerod bars a few inches into the garage floor. I am VERY impressed by the work done by Sam the Concerte Man and by Matthew Yocom. In addition, their bid was substantially lower than another contractor's bid.

The job was completed within the scheduled two days as planned. They not only removed the old driveway and sidewalk, but they also expanded the driveway on both sides and installed a new step for the sidewalk leading up to the house. The crew demonstrated profound knowledge and respect throughout the entire process, and their exceptional cleanup routine at the end of each day truly amazed me. 2025 Update: after my original review, I noticed that a drainpipe they were supposed to reroute and bury under the concrete (I paid for it and it was in the proposal) hadn’t been buried so it’s been an eyesore and in the way for the last year. When I brought it up to Matt, he agreed they could take out part of the slab and install a channel drain. On that day, they showed up and assured me that instead of cutting out two sections, they could make it all blend and no need to cut only along the joints. That was not at all the case. So now I have a section that is crooked and raised higher than the rest of the patio. Very unhappy as this was not a “fix” or “warranty work”. This was something that should’ve been included originally and now it’s very obvious it was an after thought. 2024: We had Sam the Concrete Man replace a small wood deck with an old slab under it with a larger concrete slab to extend to the end of our house for a back yard patio. Jason was very professional and spent extra time with us to answer questions and even quote out additional concrete needs for the driveway. On prep and pour day, the crew showed up and did a wonderful job overall. I was impressed at the measures they took to take care of our yard and property as brining in road base and concrete can be messy and cause damage.
