After explaining to them, they apologized for the mischarge and gave me a refund for the entire quote visit. I was very impressed that they followed up and listened to what happened. There were some new personal that mixed up some lines of communication which is where my mischarge came from. I’m glad they explained to me what happened and were willing to address my issue professionally. Due to their response, I’m much more likely to use them again. Original issue: I'd asked this company to come to my property to take a look at my irrigation system so I could get an estimate for the work I wanted done (repair irrigation and possibly move my irrigation system underground). I was told that there would be a $110 charge for the visit, which would be credited towards any work I let Rock N' Rose do in the future (basically if I accepted their bid). I paid the $110 before the visit. I will say that their visit was great and I appreciated them answering all my questions when they were looking at my irrigation system. I ended up not going with them and instead had someone else do the work on my irrigation system. Given just that, I had no issues with them. However, several months later, I suddenly received an invoice for $165 for the visit, the mileage, and the time to prepare the estimate. At first I thought it was a mistake, so I responded and explained that I'd already paid the $110 for the visit they'd made. However, their response was that they could credit the $110 towards the $165, but I still had to pay for the time it took for them to prepare the estimate and for driving to my property. I was stunned, because I was never told I had to pay anything extra since the $110 was supposed to cover the actual visit to my property. I do not live in the middle of nowhere, and live in their service area. When I'd asked about fees before scheduling this appointment, I was told there were no other fees besides that $110, which I find very unprofessional. Fees should be the very basic information for any business, especially when it comes to providing services. I would suggest that if you are looking to get estimates/bids from several different companies, do NOT get one from this company unless you're fine with paying over a hundred just to get a bid.
