I have a 1953 Wedgewood stove that needed an oven thermostat replaced and overall tune-up. I contacted Joe on a Thursday and he was here on Friday. A true professional and all around nice person. He knows he's stuff. If you want it done right, contact Retro Stove and Gas Works.

Joe is a real craftsman with a true interest and deep knowledge of vintage stoves. He has serviced my stove for years, and he is always responsive and diligent. After years of Joe fixing my stove, I finally visited his workshop as I look to buy a new stove and it is an impressive operation - so many beautiful vintage stoves to choose from! I absolutely trust Joe that any stove I buy from him will work perfectly and look beautiful. If you have an interest in vintage stoves, Retro Stove and Gas Works is a fantastic resource.

I paid $35 for what I thought would be an authentic scan of pdf instruction manual. Instead, I received a poor-quality scan, uneven and not easy to print with extra “notes” written all over it. When I contacted the owner, not only was the quality issue dismissed, but I was told I made the ‘wrong decision.’ The tone was condescending, placing blame on me rather than addressing my concerns. Ultimately, I found the original manual for $8 on eBay in near mint condition. One star, not just for the product, but for how Joseph Oliver, the owner, handled the issue. As a business owner myself my clients satisfaction comes first even if I dont alway...

Jim Oliver is a consummate servicer of vintage gas stoves. I had such pleasure watching him and working with him to restore the Chambers Model C kitchen stove that has been well-used and loved in my family my whole life. His attention to detail was meticulous and thorough and he didn't quit until he was sure everything was working perfectly. It was worth every penny. Thank you, Jim!
