I reached out to Rescue Plumbing to ask for help repairing a tub spout with a broken diverter. The company responded quickly about scheduling and gives free consultations. Spiro did a great job. He took a look, explained why the spout needed to be fully replaced due to internal corrosion, and explained the key specs that needed to match in a replacement because we had a niche older model. I hired Rescue Plumbing to address issues with two toilets in my rental property. The technician recommended complete rebuilds of both toilets, stating that they were old. When I asked for more detail regarding which specific components had failed, I did not receive a clear explanation. I approved the rebuild of one toilet but declined the second until I could obtain additional information. They seemed professional to us and were available on a weekend. It's a fairly large company, so experiences may vary depending on the technician. We ultimately had another plumber inspect the issue and propose a similar solution but was faster, more efficient, and cost only about one-quarter of the quote we received from Rescue. I'd recommend getting quotes from multiple companies before making a decision. That said, their service and attitude were great, it was just a significant difference in pricing. I could understand paying a 20–30% or even 50% premium since they're a large company, but the price difference was much greater than that.

​Avoid this company at all costs. We hired them for a minor repair on an outdoor spigot that they had fully replaced just over a year ago. During the repair, the technician, Javier, used a soldering torch too close to the ceiling and set our insulation on fire. If his apprentice hadn't noticed and alerted him that our walls and ceiling were literally ablaze, we could have lost our townhouse. ​Javier had to rip a hole in the ceiling with his bare hands to pull out the burning insulation, using our personal ladder to perform the work and our own outdoor painting buckets to clear out the charred debris.
