Don't let the residential address fool you, Renaissance is a full service restoration shop. The foam latex cushions on my mid-century couch had deteriorated to dust and needed to be completely re-built. I called half a dozen places in the Bay Area and Boris came back with the best price. After a quick consult, Boris let us go through a huge selection of fabrics. He also gave us a run-down of options and how they would impact price and durability. The turn around time was reasonable given that it is a one man shop. The result was of superlative quality and looks great. Boris completely restored dining room furniture that my parents had purchased in 1952. He repaired the table legs, took apart the six chairs & put them back together, replaced some glass in the china hutch, re-stained and upholstered everything anew. He even restored the original knobs and drawer pulls to shiny beauty and ordered custom table pads for me. My family will continue to enjoy this furniture for decades to come.

No words can fully express what a MASTER furniture restorer Boris is. I had an antique dresser that I bought 40 years ago. It wasn’t in the greatest shape. And I admit, I put a lot of wear and tear on it as well. The finish had many water stains, scratches, and dents but what was worse - the drawers inside were unusable. I couldn’t get them open or closed. But in January 2024, I used Lugg to haul it to Boris and he transformed it into magnificence. Unbelievable. Beautiful.
Fast forward to this fall, I had an antique desk that I’d picked up off the street about 20 years ago. Then I put glass over the top. I had it like that for 20 years. It wasn’t ok, but first the glass cracked and when I tried to remove it, it stuck to the paint and wrecked the surface. Plus being near a window, there was much sun damage. So I took it to Boris and he worked his magic, restoring it to its original walnut finish. I simply cannot believe how beautiful it is. I had no idea it’s wood was so nice,
So in conclusion, YES, I highly recommend this business. Be willing to wait 4-6 weeks, buts what you will get back is really something to treasure. Thank you Boris!

I had my Eames lounge chair repaired and it's now really, really great - strong, functional, and beautiful again. Better than new. Boris did great work, has amazing knowledge/expertise, did a quick turnaround, and was very professional. I highly recommend Boris and Renaissance.
