Reliable Auto Repair

Beware- they will not honor warranty and they don’t do their own work: I paid for a transmission replacement and received a rebuilt transmission from another company, unknowingly. A 3rd party confirmed major issues with the rebuild, and the warranty was not honored. I was out $5k with major shuttering on the vehicle. Reliable said there was nothing they could do, despite the receipt and warranty being through them. I will never take another vehicle to them. They had me drive back and forth several times, even and hour away for the second opinion on my son’s birthday, and then did nothing about the diagnosis. Horrible.

My mom took her car here for service because we used them under previous ownership. They told us what they thought was wrong and charged $1000. An hour after my mom drove home, the car shut down and her and they didn’t fix the problem. Took it to the dealership who identified and fixed the problem (it was something that should have been found immediately as part of the inspection) and for less.

They recently replaced both front lower control arms in my 2011 Nissan Rogue and the entire experience was excellent. They were honest about what needed to be done and what repairs can wait. The entire repair was done on time and at an excellent price. Thanks, Karthik.

I am a bit late in writing this review, but I could not be more pleased with the service that Reliable Auto Repair provided. Took my car for an engine misfire issue that I was not able to resolve myself and they were able to accurately diagnose the issue and fix it. I would recommend Reliable Auto Repair to anyone looking for honest, straightforward, and fair pricing mechanic in the western suburbs.
