Great to work with, great communication, roof looks amazing
We were very satisfied with the professional approach that all company representatives exhibited. The work was completed as contracted in a timely manner. Yes, I would recommend them to friends and family.
Portland Roofing has been our only roofing company since I bought the house in 200, for good reason. I always get more than one bid as I am on a fixed income. Every time Portland Roofing beat the competitor's price. As I am a woman owned and founded entrepreneur, I like to support others who are the same or BIPOC led. Portland Roofing is led by both. Another good reason that I recommend Portland Roofing to my friends is their exceptional work, that they stand by the quality of their work. If I have questions or there is an issue. This happened once and though it was beyond warranty, they fixed the minor issue for free. Their immediate updates and personal contact are also stellar!
Portland Roofing is one of the rare honest roofing companies left. Kelli and her team provide great pricing and communication leading up to the day your roof will be completed. No games or inflated quotes to try and take advantage of a customer.
I have had Portland Roofing complete 4 roofs on different properties, and they’ve been consistently excellent. Also had them replace a section of gutter. They were able to get the job done fast, efficient, and they have very fair pricing. They always leave the site spotless—no debris left behind. I’ve been recommending them for several years and will continue to do so! If you need a roof fixed, replaced, or gutter work done, no need to call anyone else.
Portland roof& Co was great! They did a roof repair for me. Great communicators. Very professional. Very competitive price. I would recommend!
My roof was well beyond its life and I knew that I would need to replace it, but hoped it would last one more winter. The atmospheric rivers this winter had other plans and I found myself unfortunately needing a new roof during off season. I pursued multiple quotes and while this company was not the least expensive option, it was definitely one of the lower ones and the warranty for their work was the best by far, and I was referred by a friend so I felt good about that. The quote process was also good - they came with answers to my questions before I even had to ask them. They have it together and they are very polished. They also have a physical location and staff is highly responsive in multiple modes - email, text, call, etc. Texting works best for me when I am working so it was great to be able to be responsive during my workday without lots of interruptions. The crews were nice and my neighbors texted me saying it was "nice to hear the guys having fun". Everything looks good, and they were about as fast as they could be given the weather constraints. Another atmospheric river came in the middle of the house portion of the project and they quickly tarped the exposed roof. When that tarp started leaking, they were highly responsive and came out to add a second tarp to the first one. I never felt like I was stuck with a partial job and no recourse for water, which is impressive considering the weather. My roof looks great and it brings me a lot of peace of mind knowing that I won't have to worry about this anymore. For the sake of an honest review I am going to note the couple of snags we had, just because I think it is good to know what to expect. I am not knocking a star off of the review because we were able to work through things well and some snags are to be expected with roofing projects like this. We did have one miscommunication where there was a proposed add-on to my contract for ducting in the attic that was already there. I had to climb up into the attic and take pictures to show that the ducting was already there (I had replaced part of it myself only a couple of years ago). I am going to chalk this up to confusion or miscommunication between the foreman and the project manager. The miscommunication seemed to be that the ducting did not need to be replaced after all - the top of the ducting was the wrong shape for the roof flappers they had, and the top 2 feet of the ducting needed to be replaced with new ducting to fit. After some back and forth, the PM suggested adding a mushroom cap back onto the roof like it has been before removal, which was already covered under the current contract for no additional fee. The timing for this was unfortunate because there are universal flappers that can be bought, but when the roof is open there is not have time to look for parts like that, so you need to make a decision fast. Coming back later to cut a hole voids the warranty. For future situations like this, I would suggest listing all of the possible options rather than suggesting one fix that was substantially more expensive. It also feels like this could have been anticipated and planned for with a bit more time spent on the quote process. The vents there currently could have been confirmed by popping into the attic for a minute or two, and then we could have gotten a part that fits and is up to current code standards/best practices. My quote also did not include larger drip metal covering for the edges of the new roof, which had an increase in cost. I would suggest taking these measurements during the quote phase in the future before writing a quote, but I really appreciated that they did not charge me the fee to pick up the new materials. In the end the add-ons were only about $250 which is not bad for an old roof on an even older garage and house without plywood. So far so good, though substantial completion was only yesterday. My roof looks great and everything went back together well - now I just need to paint my gutters! The new roof makes my old gutters look rough. I would recommend this company.
I have nothing but praise for Portland Roofing. Their customer service is outstanding and the crew that removed and installed my new roof was friendly and very professional. This is my 3rd time working with them and I will recommend them to friends!
Very professional office personnel! Journeyman roofers had to deal with quite a bit of water damage and took care to do the job right. In particular,Arnold,Antonio and Luis made for a good crew! TY All,Dan S.
We had the roof done in the winter so had to wait a while for the weather to cooperate but had communication with Portland Roofers every week. Once the job started the workers took care not to leave me unprotected from the weather. The work is first class and I still have not found any debris in the yard. A very enjoyable experience and one of my lower bidders, I could not be happier. Jack
