So I brought my laptop in on my birthday literally because my puppy chewed the screen on the corner top piece I have a MacBook Air 13.3 inch starlight gold, I spoke with a manger Andrew there are several owners come to find out, I’m thinking this place is loyal to Amarillo been here served people here so why would they mess up, the owner insisted he fix my screen instead of buying a new one I was like I’m really fine with buying a new one I’m at risk of this screen not working after getting it fixed he said no once the screen is fixed you won’t have any problems your good to go. He insisted that him fixing it was way cheaper than buying a new... He insisted that him fixing it was way cheaper than buying a new one I notice the price of laptops for an apple air is 799$ he charged me 649$ to fix my screen. It is cheaper than buying a new one but I gave my confidence in this person to do this and get my computer back to me and also honor in the event the screen display cracks after getting it installed that they would honor some sort of warranty and fix the issue. I had my laptop that following Monday I picked it up from my aunts house because I had her pick it up for me because I was out of town in Lubbock for orientation, I use my computer a good 3 days and then left it alone till Thursday evening and found there is a crack in the display and it won’t work. So I am knowing this wasn’t from me but the screen didn’t look like the brand new one when you buy a laptop so I felt something wrong about the display they installed on my laptop he never mentioned where he was getting the part he just mentioned ordering them. I gave my confidence in this the whole time; I then decide to call them immediately after seeing this problem the next day Friday morning. It wasn’t Andrew who picked up but it was another employee , he was nice and said I could bring it up there and take a look, I brought it to them, he called me about 12ish and let me know in a controlled confident voice that the computer had been damaged physically, the screen wasn’t damaged from me is what I told him and he got louder and said no mama I said your computer isn’t managed and it’s something we cannot do anything for you about but I can give a discounted rate on another display but there’s damaged and it’s from that, I perceeded to say well I can’t buy another display I bought this and the guy seemed very insisting on him fixing it now I don’t have a laptop cause it’s broken again? He continued before I could finish and said there’s nothing I can do I’m not going to give you any options on this, this is all I can do for you, and honestly it triggered things and escalated things. These people are choosing to do this because they thought they could and control over me and then the next person they may not because they choose to not. I believe these men are not certifiable professionals of the working class. This isn’t a way to work towards it nor communicating properly to yet then not stay calm enough to communicate in a helpful professional encouraging resulting way. There is a solution to this, but he wasn’t mentioning any solution but buy another. I just want to post this for future people be very skeptical about it and keep asking questions and stay there communicating with them telling them what you need cause in the end you did your part and all you can do they failed.
