Purchased a new Sebo with accoutrements from Pennington. Beautiful machine, shipping was lightning fast! Highly recommend!!!
I had 2 machines serviced here. I asked for a quote + he told me it could be anywhere between 60 to 200 dollars. I asked him to call if it was going to cost 200 for each machine. He didn't! But argued with me on the phone, speaking over me thinking I'd shut up or believe his lie. I hung up, gave him a few mins to calm down + called back. He couldn't commit to a price upfront + wanted me to pay the max. I paid but my machines are worse. They're noisy + skipping stitches. I hadn't had any major issues from my machines until now. I took it in for a timing belt replacement + I still have a timing issue.
I had an older Husky 145 sewing machine serviced and they got it in great working order after several years of it going unused. When I had some issues (completely my fault) after bringing it home, they were able to walk me through the problem over the phone and get everything sorted out. I would highly recommend them!
I'm leaving another review because Pennington Sewing & Vacuum deleted it. A month back, I had a conversation with the owner regarding replacing the thread take up lever on my Singer 591200A. He mentioned he would place the order but was unable to provide me with an estimate for the cost. I ordered $20 part and reached out to him to schedule an installation at my place. He responded in a rude and unprofessional manner, saying, "I HAVE NO MORE INTENTION OF DOING THIS JOB BECAUSE YOU PURCHASED THE PART!!" I ended the call because this was his second instance of yelling at me. He planned to charge me more for the work and the service. He takes ad... He takes advantage that he's the sole sewing repairman in the Ewing area. I've had conversations with other companies that hire him. He's professional with these companies but is rude to customers who run their own home businesses. He doesn't take home businesses seriously. I will not be using his services in the future.
Called ahead and said I needed a screw for my tension know and wanted to make sure the store was open and someone would be able to help me. Drove over. Walked in to a vacuum demonstration which I assumed was a salesperson and customer. Waited ten minutes in line behind someone waiting to pay. It turns out it was the employee getting a demonstration from a salesman. She then checked out the other woman. I said I needed a screw for my machine and she said id have to leave it. I said I brought it because I dont know the part, I called ahead to make sure I could ger the screw. She said her mechanic wasnt there and asked for the model. Ho... Honestly, I was so beyond frustrated thay she hadn't even greeted me when I came in and that her vacuum mechanic told me to come over knowing they couldn't help me. I told her what she was and left. 0/10 for professionalism and convenience. Would not recommend.
