I brought my Lexus IS 500 to Paint Works MS after it was rear-ended, expecting high-quality repairs and professional service. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. The repairs took over FOUR months to complete, despite initial expectations being far shorter. I was invoiced more than $12,000, which is more than double what other reputable shops quoted. I was invoiced more than $12,000, which is more than double what other reputable shops quoted. I agreed to pay this higher amount because Paint Works assured me they would use genuine Lexus parts and provide premium repairs. However, the results did not match those expectations: 1. The trunk was very misaligned, and the rear bumper was also misaligned and then started popping out after a few weeks. 2. The roof paint by the front windshield began peeling after just one car wash. 3. Very expensive trim pieces on both rear doors were damaged during their repairs. The black chrome was rubbed off. 3. Several parts and clips were not reinstalled, including in the door panel and trunk area, causing pieces to come loose shortly after. I had to replace a clip for the grab bar and two clips for the cargo net. 4. My battery died due to them not keeping it charged during the extended repair period. Luckily the dealership replaced this under warranty. There was no apology or effort to resolve these problems after I reported them. Additionally, they claimed I still owed them money, even though my insurance adjuster informed me that Paint Works never submitted supplemental documents for approval. I remained patient throughout this process, but I cannot recommend this business based on my experience. I will be including photos and documentation to support this review. If you care about quality work and good communication, I would suggest exploring other repair shops.
