Disorganized and creepy! Also when you call to comment on the fact that the fencing estimator was just in your backyard after you specifically said you would not be available to meet them at this new time, they defend creepy Carl’s actions instead of apologizing for his unprofessional behavior. He lied and said I told him to go in the yard not realizing that I was the person he spoke to on the phone. Then he said, “Hey honey I had an appointment”.
No sir, you did not have an appointment to go in my back yard unattended. You certainly did not have an appointment to scare my children when they saw you in the backyard. I have dogs and am getting...Disorganized and creepy! I have dogs and am getting a new fence because I am concerned they will get out. Of course I would not give someone permission to go in my backyard unattended.
Unprofessional and creepy. Then called me honey on top of it to undercut my point about his creepy lying behavior. I was already planning to use someone else because of the hectic chaos leading up to the appointment. Multiple repeat phone calls while I was in a meeting. Miscommunication between front office and field crew. Now a demonstration of no ethics. This is obviously a culture problem. I wish I had seen the other 1 star review before scheduling with them. The way they talk to potential clients is terrible & condescending. I completely agree with everything the other 1 star reviewer said. Whew. Lots to unpack there. Step 1: Stop acting annoyed when your clients are speaking. Step 2: Reel in creepy Carl’s unannounced, trespassing peek-a-boo backyard visits. Step 3: Assume your clients deserve basic common courtesy and respect. Watch sales go through the roof!

Update: our crazy neighbor has been arrested and we now have an order of protection against them. It's like they say: karma is a B :)

In celebration of Labor Day, I’d like to praise the people of Olympic Fence (our installers) and Trex Fencing (our suppliers). We couldn’t be happier with our new fence and the service we received from both companies.
Our journey started with Trex Fencing because we wanted an environment-friendly alternative to the hardwood fencing most of our neighbors had. We fell in love with Trex because in our small backyard alone there are 100,000 fewer plastic bags in the ocean potentially choking turtles. We love the look of the alternating depths of the slats so we don’t feel like we are sitting inside a box. It will likely outlive us without us ever having to sand or paint! Tyler was wonderful at answering all my questions, including “Who can we get in New York City to install it?”
Enter Olympic Fence. I loved them from the first phone call with Vicky. She was so efficient at getting the information they needed. She didn’t know the answer to a question I asked and said “I’ll call you back”. Within a half hour, she did! (Unexpectedly prompt service in NYC!)
Olympic’s estimator, Carl, was on time, efficient, pleasant and witty. Their proposal was more reasonable in turn-around time, price and estimated time to completion than the two other quotes I got. The workers showed up when they said they would, they worked around all our backyard furniture, and they finished in a miraculous 1 day! (The other quotes were 2-4 WEEKS!)
They did make a mistake that caused my neighbor some concern, but they came back two days later to fix it (they would have been back the very next day except it poured rain all day).
That’s what I call excellent service: do what you say you are going to do, do it on time, do it well, and if the inevitable mistake occurs, take responsibility and fix it ASAP. As I said, we could be happier.
(Oh, and as the second photo shows, the neighbor kids on the other side if the fence like it too!)
