My Miele vacuum is 22 years old, a prized possession I inherited from my mother, that I pull around angrily. When I turned it on one day, and the motor sounded like it was straining, I assumed that was the end. I obviously needed a new motor, which would cost as much as a new vacuum (but I also know that my 90's era vacuum was entirely made in Germany, not like the new ones that are now partially, if not fully, made in China). Anyway, the only place remotely near me was Northshore Vacuum. I made the trek and the reviews did not disappoint. Steven, the owner, assumed as well I may have needed a new motor. A few hours later he called to tell me it was the belt and I have been putting in the filters wrong, which probably resulted in the breakdown of the belt. It cost much less and was ready to pick up in less that 24 hours. A friend of mine upstate also has a Miele and she said she's going to make the 3 hour trip down just to get Steven to fix it. I almost hope more things go wrong so I can go back! Thank you, Steven!!!

I took my 37 year old electrolux power roller brush to North Shore and I was certain it could not be fixed. I was very WRONG. Repaired and cleaned in 2 days. If you take your vacuum cleaner anyplace else, good luck, lol. Go to North Shore Vacuum!!! Steven is the BEST!
