They have turned some pieces of my mom's inherited jewelry (that I would never have worn otherwise) into absolutely beautiful pieces. At their suggestion, one was made into a pendant that I wear 24/7. They do fantastic work at reasonable prices and are always so nice and so helpful. I won't go anywhere else.
So I just went into Niwot Jewelry and Gifts today and spoke with a man for a simple necklace repair that needed to be done on my grandfather's cross that I wear daily. I was told the repair would be $35 then I asked him to please do the repair ASAP if he could so I could put it back on immediately as it was something I wear daily. He said sure but I would have to pay an extra fee to do so....Bumping everyone else in the service process... Which I was ok with... It meant I got my chain back on my neck where I wanted it to be... This is where is was not ok To charge me $75 to do a 4 min job and polish my chain is not fair and makes me feel "... My normal jeweler is out of town which is Jay Albright off of Pearl Street in Boulder.... I also reached out to a few jeweler's locally and I could of had the same fix done for $20... Right away...Pretty sad. Happy New Yr
Terrible customer service. Was told twice that they are working on an appraisal for me on a pendant that they did over 1000$ of work on. Just to be told weeks later that it never got done and they are refusing to work with me. According to owner asking about how the wholesaler prices work for the bail I bought was a personal attack on her and the business. No other jewelers have treated me that way when asking questions trying to understand pricing. I’m confused on why they would tell me multiple times even after the conversation about prices that I can expect the appraisal to be done. Just to find out later they don’t want me as a customer.... Tell me, does that make any logical sense. When trying to have a respectful conversation the owner kept saying “oh my god” and sighing then laughing at me. Wish I could go back in time and get my money back so I can give it to someone professional. Please beware of this place. The reviews are false.
I was quoted 2,500$ for a gold and pink sapphire ring by one of the employees and was told the style of the ring fit the shop and he would be interested in buying it and similar pieces. He also said they took silver. I arrived the next day and spoke to the owner a woman who right off the bat didn’t seem interested in my gold ring and didn’t tell me a price she would offer. She said they didn’t pay for craftsmanship .. even though all of their rings are hand layed stones. Anyway she brushed off the pieces I brought in said they weren’t the style she was looking for and quoted me 3$ for my nice silver chains and 125$ for gold and garnet earring... I felt dismissed from the start and I know my jewelry is worth more than what she just offered.
