contacted Mark at Museum Quality Restoration to work on my family’s 1920’s Seth Thomas regulator wall clock. This was an old school clock my father got from Burbank High School when the school remodeled in 1950. It has been in storage for the last 15 years after hanging on the wall of the family home the past 75 years. This clock was abused by us kids throughout the years. We over wound it, decorated it for Christmas and hid our roller skate keys in the pendulum box. The brass rim was severely tarnished, the wood dry, and the cabinet was starting to pull apart. We over wound it, decorated it for Christmas and hid our roller skate keys in the pendulum box. The brass rim was severely tarnished, the wood dry, and the cabinet was starting to pull apart. Mark did an amazing job. He pulled apart the cabinet, repairing any splits and securing the joints. He repaired the glass bezel, re-affixed welds, straightened the hinge and a myriad of other things. The brass rim now shines. The cabinet is beautifully restored, the face was cleaned and he replaced the small cotter pin Mon used to hold on the clock hands. Mark kept me aware of everything he was doing and since course we didn’t know what it needed until he opened things up, he kept me informed about the cost. The clock is just gorgeous now and I look forward to enjoying it in my home and eventually passing it on to my own family.
I can’t recommend Mark enough, I saw many beautiful examples of his work in his shop and I’ve already made arrangements for him to work on great grandmother’s platform rocker.

Mark Fry did an absolutely spectacular job of restoring three tables of mine: a parson's table, probably from the 1960s; a table brought from China in the 1930s; and a mid-century modern small round coffee table.
He is a master! The quality of his work is extraordinary and done with great care and attention to detail. I could not be happier with how he brought these tables back to life!

Mark is a true craftsman. He was able to repair the broken leg on our mid-century modern dresser. He also recommended that the bolts on the other legs be replaced to improve stability and he took the time to do that work as well. Mark takes pride in everything he does- he is thorough, skilled and a pleasure to work with. He is honest and fair with the appraisal of the cost of the work. I would highly recommend Mark. Here are the before and after pictures.

So happy I found Museum Quality Repairs. I am the owner of a few antiques. One is a tiny end table that is 12 inches square and 20 inches tall. After years of use and abuse, it had literally fallen apart. It was originally built mostly with glue and with very few nails. I searched and found Mark's website. I knew from looking at his site he was the man for the job. I drove to his facility and scoped my table out of my trunk and went in. We discussed the job. We settled on a price that was within my range. He told me he would send me some photos during the restoration process. And that he did, as you can see. When he was finished, I went to collect my table. And sure enough, he had done an excellent job. My little end table is sturdy and perfectly finished. I highly recommend Mark and will certainly use him when I next need an item refinished or repaired. Bravo Mark!!!
