I was really hoping the craftsmen sent to install my attic lift were going to be successful. I gave them a general area I wanted the lift installed with the understanding that they would let me know if it needed to be moved or adjusted once they determined if it would properly fit there. The first day I arrived home and they had an opening cut but the control wire for a garage door was run across the opening meaning nothing would fit on the platform. This was corrected and I thought things were moving along but on the 2nd day of installation The platform wouldn't fit into the opening. I was informed this was due to an issue with the motors. F...I was really hoping the craftsmen sent to install my attic lift were going to be successful. The first day I arrived home and they had an opening cut but the control wire for a garage door was run across the opening meaning nothing would fit on the platform. This was corrected and I thought things were moving along but on the 2nd day of installation The platform wouldn't fit into the opening. I was informed this was due to an issue with the motors. Finally on the third day I was informed they had done all they could until the new motors arrived and I haven't seen them since. I got in the attic and determined they had mounted the brackets incorrectly preventing the platform from being able to fit in the opening. After remounting those I addressed the motors and was able to properly adjust them so the platform is level and stops at the proper level in the attic as well at the floor. While trying to adjust the motors I asked if either of the techs ever contacted the manufacturer I was told they had no record of the numbers I gave them calling. I have used their services in the past but after the way I was treated on this job I will never again. The pictures below show how they left things and the other shows how I have been able to correct it. I still have some work to do but they won't touch it.

We have used Mr Handyman twice. Both occasions, we received prompt contact from representatives and jobs were completed by capable and courteous workers.
When I have a need for repairs or improvements, I will be calling Mr. Handyman.
Last week, Bill, was our service person and he did an excellent job in repairing some siding/fascia needs. He worked professionally and did a great job putting things back in order.
There was company follow up after the service was completed to ensure that we were satisfied.

I contracted Mr. Handyman to replace my old wooden attic ladder with aluminum. Tom and Nathaniel were on time, professional, experienced, and well-prepared for the job. The technicians were much better than I expected. The replacement included more work than just switching out ladders, so I'm happy I didn't try to do it myself. The final cost was less than I figured, and the results were higher quality than I had hoped for. Bottom line: I feel much safer going up into my garage attic now. Highly recommended.
