Called for a washing machine repair and was informed it was cost prohibitive to repair. The initial visit charge was absorbed into any repairs. Quentin (owner of the company) offered to clean the dryer and the dryer vent to the second floor roof for $400. I went with it, but thought the cost was a little high. Stephan came to clean the dryer and the dryer vent. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Enjoyed my time with him. Did a great job. Rating lower to perceived cost.

Countless phone calls and 4 roundtrip drives to Augusta and my mom got her refund check, less $260.for the 2 service calls. What a nightmare.
The Google reviews don't reflect the true nature of this business. Read the BBB and Yelp reviews before proceeding.
My mother is 80 years old and on social security.
On 6/30 my mother wrote a check for $785 for a microwave repair. It was cashed immediately.
On 7/9 she wrote a check for $1,856.45 for a refrigerator repair. He also cashed that check immediately.
It is 8/12. I have called no less than 20 times. I have called from my dad's phone, my phone, my son in California, my phone. I even got a Googl...Countless phone calls and 4 roundtrip drives to Augusta and my mom got her refund check, less $260.for the 2 service calls. What a nightmare.

It is 8/12. I have called no less than 20 times. I have called from my dad's phone, my phone, my son in California, my phone. I even got a Google voice number with an 803 area code. I have left messages and messages.
I finally got a hold of someone last week who told me the part was backordered but they would come and install it LAST WEEK.
Ghosted by a man who preys on elderly people who think that repair people get paid up front. They don't. I'm an electrician. I have never demanded up front payment.
Here's where it gets even crazier.
I went to the address listed on their website for Mr. Appliance of Aiken. It is a Woodside address for a building that doesn't exist.
My mom and I drove 40 minutes each way to the shop listed at 2917 Riverwest in Augusta. They actually do have a shop there.
Now we just want a refund, because we dealt with a guy at Sloan who recommended we just get a new fridge.
$1,856 stolen by Mr. Appliance
$1,080 for the new fridge we just bought from Costco.
Beware anyone who does business with Quentin, the owner who showed up, cashed $2500 in checks from my mom, and then ghosted us.
Photos of the vacant lot in Aiken where Mr. Appliance pretends to have a shop.
Edit: I have driven down to Augusta four times. The first time, I met in office employee who said she would pass it on to Alicia. Alicia doesn't handle checks so I talked to her twice and she said come back on Friday after 1:00 p.m.. My mother's check combined would be there. The last time I showed up I ran into Quinton who told me he had no idea what any of this was about, but that he would refund my mother in full and I should just call him Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.. spoiler alert: it's Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. and I have not heard a peep from Quentin.
$2,800 is my mother's entire social security check that was stolen by this company. I will not stop until I get a refund.
Another edit: My mother finally did get her money in mid-August. They deducted I think like $600 for the service call visits. Good grief!

Nothing bad to say and I will not leave a terrible rating because I chose not to use the service offered.
But I reached out to Mr. Appliance in regards to a cracked LG Stove Top. (Let it be known that cracked glass is not under any kind of warranty). I was quoted over $1k to replace the top (including the "advertised $125 diagnostic fee that somehow became $135 plus tax just to confirm that I have a cracked top and it needs to be replaced). I decided to go another way. The OEM replacement top was $600 and arrived next day. 30 minutes later the new top was up and running. Only tool needed was a phillips head and literally no elbow grease.

After having seen the price for a manufacturer replacement (quoted $700 for the part by Mr. Appliances) and assuming that the remaining $300 is for the 30 minutes of labor (which 10 of it was me figuring out how to remove the clips holding the heating elements up), I unfortunately cannot and will not recommend them to anyone that will listen. I do however wish this business success in the long run.
But the only issue that we had was that he refused to move his vehicle so that the movers can get set up to download our household goods.

Poor customer service. They never return phone calls, it's just text messages from an answering service. My dishwasher was supposedly repaired, after they left i ran the dishwasher. The replaced seal fell out and flooded my kitchen with water. The techs were nice, but they didn't even know how to put the seal in and had to search the internet to find out.
