MAX Iron Railings & Wrought Iron Fence

got a quote pretty fast after I sent pics of the side gate. the guy who came to measure knew his stuff and didnt try to upsell me on anything wild. install day they were here early and worked steady, no standing around. there are a bunch of iron fence companies in Chicago and I checked maybe four before picking these guys. gate swings clean and the welds look tight. lock hardware feels heavy duty too which is what I wanted

MAX put in a wrought iron fence around our backyard and it came out great. The dog was the main reason we did it, and the height they suggested works well. she can't get over it but it doesn't make the yard feel like a cage either. There's some decorative detail along the top that I wasn't sure about from the drawings, but in person it looks right. Not too busy, just enough to keep it from being plain. The finish is solid too, nice and even all the way around. I was a little worried about the gate because that's usually where things go wrong on fences, but it swings easy and the latch catches every time.

The iron railing on our back porch had gotten so rusty that pieces were flaking off every time you touched it. It looked terrible and felt unsafe, especially on the stairs. MAX came out, took measurements, and had a new railing fabricated and installed within about three weeks. The difference is massive, everything feels sturdy again and the finish looks great against the brick. Living on a busier street in Chicago it's nice to have the porch looking decent again instead of like it's falling apart.

I also appreciated the quick tips on repainting and rust prevention.

Had them add a short iron railing for our basement steps. Solid work, straight lines, and it feels sturdy. they measured twice and it fit tight.
