This location is ABSOLUTELY the best! And GREG is a "lifesaver"! I was "panicked" when my computer was glitching. I took it in and met the "AMAZING GREG"! He went ABOVE and beyond ANYTHING I'd hoped for! :) I completely expected it to be a lost cause but HE performed a MIRACLE! :) He even gave me some MAJOR tips for this to NEVER happen again! I'll be bringing him lunch when he doesn't expect it. :) WONDERFUL man and a WEALTH of knowledge too! They are ALL fantastic (LOVE Cody's hair-- smile) so if anyone finds themselves in the same situation (losing passwords or your data) you absolutely CANNOT go wrong with THOSE guys! :) Tha...This location is ABSOLUTELY the best! I had my MacBook Pro worked on here due to a startup issue. After weeks they finally told me that they needed to put in a new motherboard and battery. After another full week they called and said it was ready. I brought it home and it seemingly worked. I travelled for multiple months and the laptop sat in my room not being used. When I got home I attempted to use my laptop and it wouldn’t turn on at all. I brought it back to them and they told me that I needed another new motherboard and that they wouldn’t cover or even replace it because I was past the 30 day warranty. They installed a bad motherboard the told me the only solution was to buy...I had my MacBook Pro worked on here due to a startup issue. After giving my number multiple times to pull up my account cause the employee kept mistyping it even through I spoke slowly, I made it clear that all I needed was the data off of my Grandma's machine and then Like New PC could either recycle it or resale (whichever was best for them). I made it clear data needed to be moved to a USB, so the employee charged me $70 for "diagnostics". When my mom picked up the data, they just gave her the harddrive. When I talked to another employee afterwards to figure out what went wrong, they told me diagnostics was free but I would have had to pay $100 for data to be moved to a USB. The crew at Like New PCs are fantastic. I had a virus on my computer and could not do my payroll. Took my laptop to them and they changed a few settings so I could do payroll and after took it back and they removed the viruses. Later another problem came up with payroll and I went back and they fixed that. Then the payroll system insisted I upgrade from 2023 version to 2024 in doing so it uninstalled 2023 version but hung up on installing 2024 version. It was also suppose to seamlessly keep the data. Guess what it didn't. Went back they finished installing 2024 version and all is well. The only charge was for the first time. Like New PCs are...The crew at Like New PCs are fantastic. I had an outstanding experience with Like New PC's—one that literally saved me hundreds of dollars and restored my faith in honest customer service!
My old Dell laptop's camera decided to call it quits right in the middle of a Zoom call (talk about awkward timing). Since I rely on my camera for numerous Zoom and Google Meet calls each week, this was more than a minor inconvenience—it was a full-blown crisis. I tried everything: tweaking software settings, scouring Google and YouTube for "how to repair an inoperative integrated laptop camera" tutorials... all to no avail. Feeling like I'd reached the end of the line, I reluctantly started shopping for a replacement.
I'd gone as far as loading a shiny new $650 HP computer into my online shopping cart, my cursor hovering over the "submit order" button like a guillotine blade. Then it hit me: maybe I should consult a repair facility first to determine if my old Dell Latitude 5430 was truly shot and not worth saving. So, I did a Google Maps search for computer repairs in Arvada, CO, and discovered Like New PC's conveniently tucked just off Wadsworth Blvd. and 52nd Ave.—only a couple of miles from home. Even better, they were open!
I tossed my ailing laptop into the car and made the quick drive over to the shop.
Walking in, I found myself surrounded by a multitude of computers that could have served as potential replacements if my old laptop was truly kaput. I explained the camera symptoms to the young man (sorry, I did ask the name), and here's where things got interesting: he diagnosed
and corrected the problem in about two seconds. Two. Seconds.
While I was there, I mentioned that my battery seemed to be losing its charge faster than it used to. If I was going to keep this old workhorse running, I wanted it to hum along nicely even when I wasn't near an AC outlet. He plugged a small diagnostic device into one of the USB ports to check the battery health. His verdict? The battery was sitting at about 69 percent capacity—still sufficient. He suggested I consider replacing it in six months to a year when it dropped to around 50 percent.
I took that as a wonderful sign of an honest dealer. He could have easily told me I needed a new battery right then and there. But he didn't. You betcha I'll be going back for that new battery and a tune-up in nine months!
So, what was the camera problem, you ask? Turns out I'd somehow accidentally moved the privacy switch to the "on" position, which caused the camera to display nothing but a black screen. Simple as that. Like New PC's saved me $650 and a lot of frustration.
Thank you Like New PC's!
