King Rooter plumber Jonathan came quickly and helped us clean out a drain and install a new toilet. His work is high quality and he was a very kind, professional to have working in my house. I am very thankful for all he did.
Solved the plumbing issue effectively, though the cost felt a bit steep.
I’m not one to write anything under a 5-star review, but my experience with King Rooter was pretty terrible. I will list the pros and cons of my experience with them. If you don’t want to read the whole thing I will summarize and say I would advise anybody thinking about working with King Rooter to choose a different company. Pros: -When I first called in and set up my appointment they were very friendly and seemed like they understood what I wanted done. -They provided me 3 separate estimates to choose from -They let me have a large commercial 3-compartment sink shipped to their warehouse and held it there until I was ready for install -Al was great to work with, he was the only one who seemed to understand my frustration with the work that was done. Hugo and his partner were good for the most part (I think they did what they were told by their manager and didn’t really get to choose, so I won’t hold that against them) -They eventually completed the work the correct way (for the most part.) Cons: -The initial install of the 3-compartment sink wasn’t done to code. This was an install in a restaurant and pipes were resting on the floor which is something that would be flagged by the health department. -They completed the install with the sink lined up to the wall, but the dishwasher was not lined up with the sink as it should have been. My business partner had a lot of back and forth with their manager, Robert, and it was eventually lined up correctly (for the most part.) Robert claimed it was done as a courtesy which I disagree as far as what the wording said in my estimate which reads “lining up the new one and caulking it.” At no place in my estimate that I agreed to does it say they will only line it up to the wall. -Both faucets on the sink were leaking after install and I had called them to fix that problem. They came out and saw that I had holes drilled in the sink to feed the sanitizer and soap tubes through. I had this done after we had already called in and told them that the faucets were leaking. I was told I would need to provide proof that they were indeed leaking before the holes were drilled if I didn’t want to pay an extra amount for labor. I was able to provide that proof and wasn’t charged extra but was having a lot of back and forth with their manager, Robert. -The pipes that were resting on the floor were supported by some PVC and zip ties, which if hit even slightly by somebody’s foot, broom or mop, would collapse and all of the pipes would fall apart onto the ground. -Robert spends a lot of time arguing with customers and will ask you to provide proof for everything so make sure you take pictures of everything if the initial install doesn’t go as you planned. -The sink wasn’t mounted to the wall correctly and started falling off of the wall after 4-5 days. -They did line up the sink to the dishwasher but the lip wasn’t fully lined up with the dishwasher causing some water to still drip onto the ground. They wouldn’t caulk it and told me to have my dishwasher company come do the caulking even though my estimate says that they will caulk. Again, no where does it say they will only line up and caulk with the wall. I don’t recommend this company, mostly due to the customer service I received from Robert and the fact that they didn’t do the initial install correctly when I had closed my restaurant the entire day for them to complete this. I was hoping to use them for future projects, but I will be using a different company in the future.
I took their earliest appointment which was a week out. They called and canceled the morning of the appointment and offered another appointment a week later. After stating this is an unacceptable solution they said maybe someone could make it out in two days. Not a professional company. Call someone else.
